Its pretty amazing how much quality after market equipment is available
Purchased this scope and the CVLIFE6-9 bipod at the same time. While I was very intimate with the AR15 carbine during my year in Vietnam, this is the first AR I have owned and the the first I have customized. Its pretty amazing how much quality after market equipment is available. I have not taken the rifle to the range yet, but my first impression of the scope is very positive. It does not feel cheap at all and has crystal clear optics and nice bright electrical sight, both in red and green. If you are not familiar with the mounting system on these rifles, be advised you will most likely have to change out your hand guard to mount the bipod. Also if your gun is new it will be helpful to have a hand guard removal tool. I purchased my tool at Bass Pro ($12+) as well as a replacement hand guard - Intrafuse AR Carbine ($44.99). I will update this review after I spend some time at the range. Also, got the tactical gun case at a military exchange, its a Drago, $69.00, great case, well built with plenty of storage compartments as well as velcro sleeves for a couple of hand guns.

Not a bad low cost optic
Overall it's a good optic ,I ran a few 100 rounds using it ,held its zero good ,it would be nice if you could adjust the magnification on it being that it's fixed at 3x , you can adjust the reticle for clarity. Yes the adjustments are opposite from how they are marked ,but not a big deal.

Great for the price! Check out this review!!
Great scope for mid-range. Mounted on Midwest Industries M1 picatinny rail for PSA AK47. Sighted in at 25 meters. Had dead center within 5 groups of 5 shots. Removed M1 brace, sighted in steel sights, then re-attached. Held zero very well. Target shot 50 rounds within 1.75” x 3” spot. Shook it, hit it, and jolted it on top of an AK with crap ammo, it held firm. No re-adjustments required. Likely good for 25 to 100 meters (at least on my AK with my old eyes). Would likely perform better with 5.56 w/ better ammo.

Great for CQB-Exaggerated advertisement on distance & better description needed
160 shot review. I watched just about every YouTube review on this scope before purchasing. First the good:It is sturdy. Optics are clear. Illumination is good and eye relief is good. Excellent CQB scope. It holds zero well so far. What's changed: Per Monstrum website the reticle on the blace scope has changed. It's a dot with a circle. Like a bullseye with a single circle. This needs to be on the Amazon description. The outlined crosshair is gone on the black model. Mine is the new bullseye design. The bad: This IS NOT a 300 yard scope using this new reticle design. The center dot is a full 4 MOA at 100 yards! Using a standard target with a 4 MOA (4" across) center diamond, the diamond was completely covered by the center dot. That would cover an area at least 12 inches across at 300 yards. So it's really only a 100 yard scope at best. Best groups possible is 2 MOA @ 100 yards because the target's covered by the center reticle dot. Conclusion: For CQB and out to 100 yards it's great. Too bad the new reticle has really limited this scope. It could be decent at 200 with good fine crosshairs. 3X @ 300 yds well......EDIT/UPDATE 7-7-19I am returning this scope and also called Monstrum Customer Service. Since my main shooting activity is using my AR-15 as an expensive paper punch, 2 MOA was never going to work. I let the Monstrum rep know that if they would just change the reticle to one like the Leapers/UTG Bugbuster (illuminated Mil-Dot), they's have a winner. As it is now, unless you're using it as a CQB, I would not reccommend this one............

Works Great
I received this scope, mounted it, bore sighted it and went to the range. This scope sighted in very easily. The scope is well made, and is a good value at this price. Customer service is excellent. I would recommend this product to a friend.

Utter failure! But customer service shines thru
Defective product. Either this one totally slipped past quality control or Monstrum will never make it past the elcheapo reputation. The screws that hold the mount to the optic were loose For one. The optic was loose on the mount so I’d have never got it zero’d, but the worst part is reflected in the pics if they come out clear enough. Specs of something inside the glass. It was just one bigger solid speck but has broken into 50+ and migrated throughout the field of view. Totally unacceptable. A blurry edge or a smudge is one thing but even on the lowest quality optics there should be no foreign body floating around inside hindering the sight picture. This made me cringe. I have to return it and hope for the best. I was really hoping this optic would deliver as promised but appears to be a complete fail.Update! Called Monstrum and within a week I had a new replacement, without even having to ship the defective unit back. It’s a circle dot reticle as they no longer make the one I purchased, but no worries. Nice to know their customer service is top notch!

For all that are wondering..
This scope looks and feels sturdy and well built.I was looking for reviews on the fde color match with magpuls fde color. And no one had it so here is mine. The scope itself is NOT the same color as the magpul fde. May be due to its material. Such as magpul is plastic and this is metal but the covers do match the magpul fde color. I haven’t shot with it yet but by playing with it feels great. The eye relief is 3.5 in. Mine has to be slid toward the back end of the upper receiver. The green and the red light are very bright in doors but the scope lets a lot of light in so it’ll wash it out if it’s sunny. But they do work very well.
