Great book, great translation. A classic!

The book production quality is good but I'd have preferred more analysis as it is a difficult book

He was a young man in his 20s when he wrote this, 45 when he wrote Crime and Punishment, and 59 when he wrote the Brothers Karamazov. He was a master craftsman by the time he wrote the latter but he was evidently quite a way off that here.I'd recommend this one for die hard Dostoevsky fans only. It's interesting to see the evolution of his writing but it's not his best work by a long shot. Fortunately its a very short book so it only takes about a day to read.
