I have a fake mahogony resin picture frame - would this white paint stick to to it and change its colour?

If the wood is unvarnished it will stick fine the powder white paint will.leave a matt finish the Ivory white is gloss finish. On top of varnish it might not cover so well though to.be honest ive used it on every surface including metals
