Amazon Brand – Pinzon Heavyweight Luxury Cotton Large Towel Bath Sheet - 70 x 40 Inch, White

While replacing all of our bath towels in Oct., 2015, five brands of towels, all highly rated on Amazon were purchased. Not being able to see or feel the towels firsthand was problematic-others’ reviews played a big part in the choices made. “Thick and luxurious” is an individual viewpoint. Overall, all five brands fit this description. All are soft, reasonably thick, and absorbent.All were initially washed in the same way: Step 1, Warm water with one cup of vinegar, nothing else, no drying them yet; Step 2, Warm water using half the normal amount of soap, one fourth cup vinegar in the softener dispenser, and an extra rinse. They were dried on low heat in 15 minute increments, cleaning out the lint trap every 15 minutes until dry. New towels lint--period, just like most leaves on trees eventually fall off the tree. Address it on the first few dryings, much less lint later!; Step 3, Final wash of warm water, half the normal amount of soap, one fourth cup vinegar in the softener dispenser, and an extra rinse. They were dried on low heat in 20 minute increments, cleaning out the lint trap every 20 minutes until dry. All are now washed in hot water with a small amount of bleach crystals to sanitize thrown in the tub, 2/3 the normal amount of laundry detergent, one fourth cup vinegar in the softener dispenser, and dried on low heat. No vinegar smell persists, and all are still soft and absorbent. There is NO excessive lint.My reviews and ratings-*5 STARS. Pinzon 820-Gram Luxury Cotton Hand and Bath Towels, White; Soft and smooth, tightly woven, VERY thick towels. Put the bath towels out for my husband, they are too heavy and cumbersome for me. Cannot get my ears dried out! The hand towels are a nice 20” by 30” size. They both take very long to dry, so I tend not to use the hand towel very often. No pulled threads or unraveling seams after almost four months of constant use.*5 STARS. Turkish Luxury Hotel & Spa (Salbakos) Bath and Hand Towel- 100% Genuine Cotton from Turkey - 700gsm Organic Eco-Friendly, White, Sold by: American Linen; (Similar to the LUNASIDUS Bergamo, Luxury Hotel / Spa towels) Soft, thick and fluffy towels. A daily go-to towel bath towel for my use. Didn’t get washcloths in this brand, but did get their hand towels. The 16” by 30” hand towels are now 15” by 28 ½”, still a reasonable hand towel size. I initially thought the hand towels did not feel as thick as the bath towels. I sent an inquiry through Amazon, and received a reply that someone would get back to me within 24 hours. Never heard from them! But, they seem fine now. Just wish the hand towel was 18” by 30”, it would be just about perfect and worth a little more money. No pulled threads or unraveling seams after almost four months of constant use.*4 STARS. Superior 900 Gram Egyptian Cotton (6-Piece Towel Set), White, Superior. Soft and smooth, tightly woven, VERY thick towels. Again, my husband gets this bath towel. I donated the 2 washcloths, they are just too thick for practical use. Generously sized hand towels, 20” by 30”, but again, they take SOO long to dry that they’re not used very often. One side seam on one bath towel is unraveling, and I am not even going to try to sew this extremely thick towel-going to the rag bin. No pulled threads after almost four months of constant use.*4 STARS. LUNASIDUS Bergamo, Luxury Hotel / Spa Washcloths, Bath and Hand Towels, 100 Percent Turkish Cotton, White; (Similar to the Turkish Luxury Hotel & Spa (Salbakos) towels and washcloths) Soft, thick and fluffy towels. A daily go-to towel bath towel for my use. The wash cloths are thick, but can still be used to wash your ears. These towels and wash cloths ALL have a large, synthetic fabric label, PLUS a paper type label, and both labels are irritating on your skin. Finally just cut them both off. The hand towels that started out as 16” by 30” have shrunk down to 13 ½’ by 26”, they’re bordering on too small. One of the 6 hand towels has a pulled thread in the middle of the towel about 2 inches long.*4 STARS. Fecido Deluxe Hotel & Spa Extremely Absorbent 100% Cotton 4-Piece Towel Set, White Bath, Hand, Fingertip Towels and Washcloths; Soft and fluffy towels, a little thinner than the other four brands., but still absorbent. They are a very brilliant white compared to the other four brands. One end seam on the HUGE (39” X 19” hand towel!) unraveled, but Fecido responded promptly. I just kept the towel since I’d already sewed it up the seam.After four months, the two winners are the two brands that have not had any issues-Pinzon by Amazon and Turkish Luxury Hotel & Spa (Salbakos) from American Linen. 820 grams is just two thick a towel for my personal preference, and takes too long to dry, but my husband likes them. And after four months, I would probably purchase nothing but these two brands, so my husband can have the heavier towels and I get what works for me.I’ve attached a few pictures showing various sizes on the hand towels, a ripped seam, a hanging thread, and the thickness of the bath towels.. Overall, sight unseen, quality bath towels. Depending on your budget and personal preferences, I’d recommend any of these 5 brands of towels.

I ordered these Bath Sheet towels for my adult son after he raved at some very similar ones he'd used during a current visit. He loves them! After washing per instructions, he told me that they were so soft that he just curled up on his bed in it for a bit. I guess that's a pretty good review for starters.As to their longevity, I can't comment yet but I'll keep checking in with him. The similar Pinzon towels that I have have worn very well.Edit- I just received some (4) platinum bath towels which are amazing in weight and feel. The issue I have is that 3 towels came packaged together and are made in India and one packaged alone that was made in Turkey. The color and stitching are different, as if different dye lots were used. The label is also different, with one care instruction to wash in cold water while the other says to wash in hot!For me, it's not a dealbreaker but if you were buying them for a gift or to display in a guest room, it might make a difference. We'll see if they wear the same. They have washed up perfectly in cold water and look inviting. I used baking soda with a small amount of detergent in the wash and white vinegar in the rinse to help set the color and improve absorbancy.3-21-17- So, it's been about a year since I've had the grey towels and have been using them almost daily. They have worn well, without pulling, shedding, or the seams coming undone. They are absorbent and good sized and the color has remained bright and saturated. I've given the bath sheets out for Christmas gifts to our children and they've been using and enjoying them too, without complaints.

I ordered this towel and two others in different colors, and I must say, i really like them. Some of the concerns other people had weren't a problem for me. The weight of the towels is very significant. They are heavy, but I was mostly surprised by how BIG they really are. I'm 5'3" and the towel is longer then I am tall, and its so wide it is the same width as a normal towel when folded in half. The towels are very plush and absorbent, and they dry in a reasonable amount of time, but they were not as soft as I was expecting. All in all, for the price, these are big, sturdy towels that will look good and last.

I have had these towels for about 6 months. They are perfect for me. First the pros: they are thick, heavy and absorbant. The cons: thick, heavy and absorbant. I say that because if they were any thicker, they would be too thick. By that I mean that any thicker towel would be too hard to manage to get to conform to all your creases and crevices. But I can manage these just fine. They are heavy! But not too heavy for me. Their weight demonstrates their sturdy construction and sheer amount of cotton. An elderly person may have trouble managing their heft. I would not buy any towel over 820 gsm. They are super absorbant. And this causes, in my case, a little extra drying time, whereas a lighter towel dries in a little bit less time. They are not the softest, but being a guy, it is fine with me. They are not rough, they are soft enough for me. They shed quite a bit the first few times you launder them, you just have to keep and eye on the drier filter. All in all a great towel (for me)

I love these facecloths!I got them for myself because my husband and son were always grabbing the other cloths to use and I'd go looking for my facecloth and it would be missing. So I bought these and threatened death to whoever used one without written permission.The facecloths are quite thick, probably a little more than I expected but as much as I'd hoped. They are very soft as well. They hold a lot of water and are gentle on your face. The price seemed a little high, but I think I got value for money. I highly recommend them.

Me gustaron mucho (compré un juego con 2) al principio me pareció un poco caro pero cuando las recibí me convencieron completamente las recomiendo ampliamente.

Me encantaron estas toallas, son super absorbentes, el tamaño ideal y estaban a muy buen precio aunque parece que ya las subieron. Excelente compra!

Las desventajas de este pedido en mi situación:-Realicé 2 pedidos de un mismo color (blanco), llegaron de diferentes colores (blanco y Ivory).-También tengan cuidado, insinúan que son 2 toallas por pedido pero al final me llegaron en vez de 4 toallas solamente 2. Espero pronto llamar para que aclaren este asunto.Lo bueno:La única ventaja es que el material de las toallas es bueno, se ve resistente y es 100% algodón
