First off, no matter how much security you put on your box, someone determined to get in will find a way.This may sound odd but I'll be buying this product again despite it having been compromised on my box and all my stuff stolen.I have a security camera and it took the axxhole over an hour to defeat the lock. He didn't try to attack the lock itself but the "arms" on the side of the lock which wrap around the locking bars. It appeared he used some kind of scissor tool (large bolt cutter) and maybe a battery powered angle grinder. Regardless, this little guy put up a hell of a fight and held on until the end.Overall, lock was good and secure. I had it about a year in the rain and sun. Fit and finish was good. No surface rust but a little from inside the sliding portion. When you apply it, be sure to angle it slightly so any water which gets inside drains out.Good product and worth the money. I also had locks on the metal tabs which took almost no time for the guy to cut off.

Used this on a connex that holds more than 50k in product in a not so great area of the city. Much easier than fiddling with a few locks in the dark hours of the morning. The lock is solid and very secure. Im sure thieves will think twice with this lock on.

I like that these cargo box locks are available and the company has added more flat steel to make it 'uncuttable' but you need to think like a criminal to discover additional vulnerability points--and possibly do some of the welding yourself. I will not give a criminal a clue as to what these are. For a stopgap apply two or more of these locks (and vivor lookalikes--vulnerable in the same ways)to each box. Also spray primer and paint inside both slotted steel tubes. Spiders, wasps and insects make a home inside these tubes--plastic bags or packing materials will help displace. Are you trying to keep a compact tractor ($15000+ )from thieves?
