This is a very well built and solid extension!

Works as I needed it to seems to fit snug and not a lot of play.

I just purchased a new Jeep Wrangler Willys 4-door with the OEM hitch. With a mounted spare on the back, hooking up a trailer to the hitch has you working in a tight space. I stumbled upon this product while reviewing trailer extensions for the Jeep. Whoever designed this hitch extension knew something about trailers and Jeeps. This extension appears rugged and has two(2) settings, 7" and 9." In addition, it has a bolt threaded in the receiver which can be removed or utilized--I guess--for bike racks. And finally, you can purchase one with the correct drop to accommodate your Jeep's height. I decided on the 2" drop for my needs. If I had to find any faults, I would say this product has only two(2) negatives. The first is that it is made in China and the second being that it doesn't come with a hitch pin. So be sure to consider the last point when ordering this product if you are into one stop shopping.

Recently purchased this item showing a 10k lb GTW rating but after looking at sticker on item it shows only a 400 lb tongue weight. The GTW rating of 10k lb would then be inaccurate as you need at least 10% tongue weight. After using the product for several months it has worked great towing my camper as well as a dump trailer with tractor and had no issues. I've increased my star rating to 4 but still feel the description of product should be corrected based on the actual GTW rating and TW rating.

I use it all the time very strong heavy duty

I needed to drop my high six inches lower than my bumper in order to properly pull a small utility trailer. I already had a good 3-ball hitch and really didn’t want to buy another one. I also couldn’t find another hitch with that much of a drop.This is perfect for what I need. It’s as solid as the hitch that I use it with. I like that it includes a locking pintle pin, and that it has a screw clamp to cut down on rattling.The one drawback is that it extends the hitch ball about four inches further from the bumper and trailer wire connector. My trailer wiring seems to be long enough that I won’t stretch it in a sharp turn. I ended up finding a 12" trailer wiring extension, which added just enough length to be safe.There's also an issue with my existing safety chains, which isn't so easy to fix. The added length of this adapter causes my chains to be too short, so I'll need to figure out how to add about 6" length.
