Many uses, versatile
Actually used this as a baby monitor mostly, so we could be working in the garage or workshed while one or more kids napped. While we love it and used it daily, it did make a clicking sound every 3-4 seconds if you had it set to "listen." You can watch on computer, iPad, phone, android, etc. Generally we'd just use the app on our phone to keep a visual of a sleeping child. But at times when we needed the sound, it was inconsistent. We plan to purchase a second one with SD card option to record night terror episodes of an older child. Also, a little tech-y to set up. Not my thing but my husband likes that stuff so it was easy for him. Lastly, while there is a "speak" option that we tried to use to talk to children and tell them to lie back down and go to sleep (older kids, not the baby) - the children said it sounded like the "scariest monster ever." We thought they were full of it until we heard it ourselves - it does sound like the scariest monster ever. So now we just make burp and fart sounds into it and turn them into monster burps and farts. So anyway, the speak option is not very viable. Unless your goal is to scare the pants off your kids.

First version was so bad there U.S.A custermer servise hotline was shut down and still is . This one worse
I perchased 4 of these ip cameras iprobot3 when they where first released for sale. They where so bad with not lasting longer then a few weeks and design and fimware issues they closed the usa customer service office 800 phone line and stopped selling the original cameras, now these are redesigned iprobit3 cameras and at half the cost of the original so i decided to give this camera a try again since out of the 4 only one left that works and its firmware is constantly screwing up the router , one of the cameras works fine alone but put 2 or more and they didn't work together constantly going off line. I thought it was my router so i went threw 6 new wireless top ratted routers costing over $190 each two at around $250 each with no luck. I do have 6 other ip cameras from a different manufacturer 4 are outside HD pzl ir 3x zoom cameras all work as expected , no issues . Just this camera was a nightmareI ordered this the redesigned new and improved iprobot3 camera from amazon prime . I was impressed of the new packaging and the new easy to setup and use firmware . BUT and this is a big but, it would not work with the old camera , it cause all the other cameras to go off line and whats worst of all the picture was terrible i mean my 700 TV line old time ccd cameras has a clearer and better picture . I thought there must be something wrong or defective , what els is new with this company so anyway i ordered another from amazon , it was exactly the same as the first one . I give up with this brand and am moving on to better hardware. The first version of the iprobot3 camera had a very sharp picture , not so much at night with the ir on . But during the day it was sharp and crystal clear . Not the new version. I installed a few non HD plz ir ip cameras in friends house they cost $54 each and the pictures are amazing makes this camera look like old over the air With antenna TV . Not HD . It the cheep lens they use the picture is not uniform . One spot blurry and th other spot somewhat sharper. Its cheep chinees crap and they dont stand by there products. There should be a ip camera lemon law . LolAnyway this camera shouod be priced around the $29.99 mark , there is much better out there for less if you know where to look. I got stuck with 4 usless cameras and the last one starting to malfunction so i expect it to stop working soon , though that one did last the longest. I paid $150 each at that time . Thats $600 i got ripped off forI know times are hard but spend $10 or $20+ more and get something worth using and will last. Though i do find myself wile wrighting this review questioning if i should try again for the new firmware is much better then before and if you babby it, it may last but the sharpness is horrible. Not HD, its specs maybe HD but a retard picked the hardware parts and design it the cheapest blurriest way. I would try again Only because of amazon prime support otherwise i wouldn't go near this camera. Well it was just a thought but i dont have time to do it again only to return it so forget it. Like other reviewers have said any company that buys good reviews ! I say must be selling junk or why would they bother. A 5 star review that was bribed out of a custermer has no bearing on the items qwaulity. Come on just admit it . Its a bribe and a lieSo there you go, people will do anything to save a buck even lie . Why you think so many good reviews on a peace of garbage . I have installed hundreds of ccd and cameras ip cameras, this one has to be the cheapest peace of junk i seen . One was dropped 2 feet onto a soft couch by my son and stopped working. This is not exeptible. I tried cheepo ebay15 doller cameras that can take a fall a drop even thrown and still work. This one is junk .Good luck at least your getting some money back they buying your review. just remember that could come back to you in the future and you doing it for a worthless peace of junk . If you going to sell your sole do it for so,thing worth it i say. Lol . I purchased cheep chiness cameras from ebay that worked better. I stick with local company supportd cameras now or amazon prime no more junk for me. Good luck to you all

Works just like it should, great H.264 video & features.
My setup consist of 8 cameras from 720P (these) to 5mp cameras costing hundreds of dollars, placement dependent on usage. Expectation is key with any purchase. These are indoor cameras.Pulled these out of the box and had them up and running on my network through Blue Iris within 10 minutes each. Actually 5 minutes on the 3rd iprobot3 via Wi-FI. MUST be plugged into your Ethernet network first! Cannot just connect power and hope to hook it up-get realistic, you must setup your LAN and it needs and Ethernet connection for this.1) Plug into your router via ethernet.2) Power plug.3) Load up the software from the enclosed CD. Use the SEARCH CAMERA function to identify your camera in your network. It will be along the lines of 192.168.x.x.x. or similar. WRITE THIS DOWN or memorize.4) Use your browser-recommend IE. Hey, it is not my favorite browser either, however many apps just plain run better on it so no need to whine about it. Type in the network IP from above (192.x.x.x.x.). Fill in the x's! Now you can log on. ADMIN/ADMIN was my default. IE will also want to load up a few items, just click yes. These are needed for all of the functions. Once in, then you can change password, search for your Wi-FI, etc. It is VERY SIMPLE. Again, my 3rd iprobot took me 5 minutes TOPS from box to wi-fi setup. If you want to connect remotely, you need to setup your PORT Forwarding in your router. This way you can check on your car while away, pan, zoom, tilt, etc. Even 2 way audio is pretty decent. Look, it is not going to sound like a 7.1 stereo system, the audio is clear albeit with a network delay coupled with the 4G phone delays.Video is good and in fact better than the 720P Foscam I tested prior which had continual problems with it's firmware. Out of the box, no problems or issues. No lockups.Using Blue Iris (paid program) , I easily converted the 720p video to MPEG-4 which is playable anywhere. I highly recommend that program. Tenvis also has an active forum on their website for any questions. The camera does have an microSD slot for local recording though not something I used and can comment on.Wireless signal is decent, figure 30' through walls in the home being max. Another larger antennae is available-for of course additional cost. 2 of 3 of these on my network are wireless, while the one 40' away is on a switch. No issues. For a camera under $90 (as of this review) , this is a great deal. No problems, great WI-FI, good daytime video, OK night video,2 way audio, sd card slot on board. Having had analog and digital cameras for over 10 years, I can say it just gets better and better and prices lower and lower. My system is up 24/7 and so far these cameras have not rebooted once, unlike my Foscam which was a daily occurrence. Can you compare these to $500 5mp cameras? Of course not. Again, expectations.Overall a great camera for the price.

It works..... sometimes. It ...
It works.....sometimes. It seems if it is hooked to your WiFi and you attempt to check it on your phone, the screens freezes more than it should. I have only used the Tenvis app for testing, not sure if it would run on other apps.UPDATED and reduced to 2 starsUsed on and off for about a year and it's hard to set up and reset to factory is not working properly. I would suggest spending the extra money to get a better brand.
