40 years eating basmati....this is the best
Basmati is the lowest in carbs rice. A very good reason to use it as a starch in your meals. I first discovered 'Ecolife' at a local Sam's Club but as is often the case with Sam's Club they didn't have it when I went back for more. Amazon here I came: for just about the same price and delivered to my door. I have been eating Basmati rice for over 40 years. This is the best product I have ever used. I use a rice steamer and the directions for cooking this rice that appear on the label are 'spot' on. Two cups of rice, 3 1/2 cups of water (or chicken stock), a good pinch of salt and you have 'perfect' rice that will serve 4. Let it rest on 'keep' for about 15 minute and you will have perfect rice every time. Oh! Yes! It is quick. I have used other brown basmati rice and they tasted like news print. This rice has a nice mild somewhat nutty flavor. Cook it according to directions, let it cool and add a cup of 2 of stock for every cup of rice, cooked. Add some aldente: veggies (peppers, peas. carrots, corn etc.), cold chicken or shrimp. Put it in the microwave and you have a very decent meal, I add some (2 t's) madras curry powder to the uncooked rice before I add the other ingredients and give it a good stir. I also add my own cajun rub in another version( I think you get the idea). I have never cooked it in a pot over the stove so I can't comment on how that works but I imagine it is pretty good. This is not a bland starchy white rice but it will give a dish character. If you like basmati rice give it a go. You don't have a rice steamer? Shame on you. Go out and buy one just for this rice. Easiest thing you ever cleaned. If you buy a big enough one you can steam your clams in it. Besides, when the weather is really hot you don't have to turn on the stove. Think about it.

Great for the Ninja Speedi!
I was looking for a quick cooking organic brown rice to use in my Ninja Speedi and it’s perfect! The rice cooks up beautifully. It’s cooked but not mushy and tastes great. Yes, it is expensive but for organic quick cooking basmati rice, it ticked off all my “must have” boxes. I will definitely buy it again!

Taste dirty, and hints of mold, but cooks quickly.
I've been fortunate enough to eat a lot of varieties of rice. I've sampled and tried many brands of brown basmati rice. Unfortunately this brand is lower grade than most. It tastes dirty. The bag we got tasted like mold. I would not recommend this to others.

Brown rice
I eat a lot of brown rice. I first bought a bag if this rice a Sam's club. And it has been one of the easiest Rice's I have ever cooked. It is light it doesn't stick together like the other brown rice does. It only Cooks in 12 minutes and 20 minutes. I ran low so I reordered from Amazon. Even my dogs like it. It also has great flavor. I would recommend this rice to anyone.

Horrible Taste
This rice smells and taste like dirt. The rice did cook quickly, but I could have just as easily walked outside and scooped up dirt for my dinner.
