Nice rod. Sensitive
Great quality like all st croix products. Very sensitive. I use it both for casting and vertical jigging on the wrecks off the Virginia coast and for casting lures in lakes in Pennsylvania. I’d recommend.

Premium rod, great buy
Really high quality beautiful rod. Sensitivity is a bit softer than similar power/action rods but still sensitive enough to fish most connection techniques. Casting distance is great. Hook keeper/line guides premium quality.

IF YOU SEE THIS BUY IT!!!!
Great rod for the price. I use this to inshore saltwater fish for Fluke, Blues, and Stripers and this rod performs the same as something double the price. St. Croix is something I will definitely purchase more of in the future.

Poor Rod Performance - Very Dissatisfied
This was my first St. Croix rod ever purchased and I bought it trying to support American made products. However, this rod did not come close to meeting my expectations from a performance standpoint. I bought the rod in Apr 2024 and have lightly fished topwater plugs on two occasions. The second time using the rod (Aug 24) it snapped under minimum pressure. I've been an angler for over 27 years and have fished in all kinds of conditions in both freshwater and saltwater environments while having rods that costs anywhere from $40 to $400 and I have NEVER broken a rod. I'm hoping this was a fluke and just a defective rod and not a representation of St. Croix as I have always heard great things about St. Croix's quality and workmanship, however, it was not on display for my purchase.

Love this rod
I was disappointed to hear that the tidemaster line of rods was discontinued but I found out that this new inshore series used the same blanks and I decided to give it a try, feels light and solid, good backbone and similar feel to the tidemaster series.

Rock solid shipping, top notch fishing rod.
Great shipping, heavy duty cardboard tube. I'd say ¼" walls on shipping tube. Awesome fishing rod, 7'6" med fast action. Looks sharp an is sensitive but hardy 👌. Perfect for inshore saltwater. Reds, Snook, Speckled Trout better watch out.

Solid rods for the price
I now have three of these inshore rods for slot reds, flounder, and trout. You won’t find a better value with the feel, performance, and build quality. Pair these with a Daiwa Black Gold 2500 or 3000 and you have a setup ready for any inshore species.
