Awesome sharpening wheel. My grinder is bolted to a shelf on the wall next to my lathe. The vibration after shutoff would shake other items off shelves and rattle everything on the wall. (inc. TV mounted on the other side) This runs very true and quiet and cuts a beautiful edge. I would guess if you had to re-shape a tool or major grinding, this would be too fine, but for a new edge on a bowl gouge (which I do often when turning) this is awesome. I'm hoping it lasts a very long time.Important to note that this has an adapter for a 3/4" shaft, but my grinder (and every other one I've had) is 5/8" diameter. I was able to make it work, but if you aren't handy and have scrap parts and tools to make it work, that would be something to consider.

Meets my sharpening needs as anticipated. Came with a little bit of oxidation on the steel wheel, but that does not detract from its functionality.

These 1.5 in wheels are hard to find right now but worth looking for. I needed a 5/8 arbor hole for my grinder and this was a 3/4 in.so I had to send it back..They are worth the money for grinding wood turning tool.
