what are the maximum internal dimensions? could i fit a 12.9 inch ipad pro inside, and could it get past the entry?

Yes just purchased mine today and the first thing that went in was my 2020 pad pro 12.9 and it’s case and pencil and fit fine.

Most uvc sanitzer lights need to be replaced after about 6000hr; why doesn't yours uvc lights need to be replaced?

They are not claiming it will last to eternity. Just that if it fails, it will be under warranty. On auto, these go on for 10 minutes, so if you assume 6,000 hours, that's enough for 36,000 sanitations. Most people will never get anywhere close to that. I have this unit and it works great, but I won't get anywhere near 36,000 uses.

independent lab testing to confirm effectiveness?

So the manufacturer claims. I can tell you there is a slight odor after the device is removed, so clearly something is happening when it's in an activated box. This appears to be the only manufacturer of UV cleaning products that has bothered to have its devices certified by an independent lab, which is why I only buy their products.

Do you need to remove all cases from devices or will it disinfect even inside the case?

I read an article on this and they suggested it would only clean the areas exposed to the light.
