TEKTRO HD-M735 Hydraulic Disc Brake Set F4 X R2 Piston with 180mm Rotor, MH1747-N

This is the second set of these brakes I have purchased and for the money they are a good deal. The 4 piston front caliper was a little smaller than I expected but they stop well and have good modulation. I have run tektro brakes for over 20 years on different bikes and they have been bullet proof so far. I know the cheaper 4 piston brakes are tempting but if you read reviews they don't seem to last long and are not very serviceable. By that I mean bleeding, removing fittings and stuff like that. Spend the extra $$ and get something that will last.

Nearly a year in on these brakes and 6-700 miles of combined use they have proven extremely reliable, very fade resistant and overall extremely good for the money. I’m about 235 lbs and live in the foothills of Washington so they’ve had some serious work to do at times. Probably not the right choice for a downhill bike, but really happy with them on my restored Intense cross country machine.

Disliked - that if you have a big bike XL or S6 sizing for example the housing will be to short for your bike ,1500mm not enough 2000 or more is needed. Going through some problems finding @ shops since everybody is using Shimano or Sram - not TRP Tektro yet.

I have Tektro's on the kids entry level Trek's and they work well. When it came time to replace my old worn out Magura's on an older Specialized, figured I'd give these a shot. Couldn't be happier, great stopping power and great feel. The only thing of note is the line for the rear brake is way too short if you have a large frame bike. The line may be fine for a small frame bike, medium may be pushing it.

So far excellent brakes 100km and all good. My only 'complaint' is that the front brake feels kind of spongy, rear is fine. I might need to re bleed them or check for bubbles.

These came oe on my mtb trail bike , to my surprise these are truly legit , going on 2 yrs of aggressive use and still perform like new , modulation is good and do a excellent job when stopping quick is necessary. Overall quality is really nice to , they don’t look cheesy . They look like a more expensive set of shimano brakes .. definitely worth a try ,
