Not bad at all when you add other accessories. Planning to get real creative with this one and it should come out fairly nice. ✌🏼. Good luck UPDATE: filter cover can but used as an air scoop if positioned correctly near the oem air scoop from grill/bumper.

Easy install and exactly what I was looking for. The carbon fiber hood I installed on my car has hood louvers which exposed part of my air filter and was worried about water falling in but this filter cover worked out great, it is very adjustable as well.

These were ordered for my 2008 Skyline. It a hydrodipped slim piece of sheet steel. Lease a huge gap in the back. I wouldn't call it a heat shield. More of a heat tunnel. They do look really good though. I feel they just blocked all air in general as opposed to just hot air. Car felt like a dog right after installation. Sitting in my garage now.

Es más uso estético que otra cosa ya que realmente no es una protección real decidió a que el metal es muy fino ! Lo instale por una semana y lo quite, compre otro por $29.99 y ese si hace su función realmente! No lo recomiendo (solo estético funcionamiento)

Finally a reasonably priced solution. When I bought my car, the previous owner already had an aftermarket CAI on the car, but nothing shielding the filter. Every time the secondary radiator fan spun up, the car would spurratically idle and almost choke itself out because the hot air was being blown directly into the intake. I'm a cheap person, so I've taken old plastic battery boxes and cut them up and folded old license plates to form and beautify some sort of barrier between the filter and that fan since I didn't want to pay 50-60+ for a shield off of some speedshop website. -1 star because the small hardware is annoying, and the metal brackets that go under the clamp are smooth so when you tighten it down, they start to slipp off and take the clamp with it. BUT. (Pretty big bonus here) it's METAL. I was expecting plastic! So instead of it flaring out like a cone when clamped in a circle from one side, you can bend it into shape and it doesn't look as cheap as it is.
