GE GSD2100VWW Built-In 24-Inch Dishwasher, White, 5 Cycles / 2 Options

This dish washer is the same as our old one. There are only 3 parts that need to be connected. The electricity, the water in and water out. With existing plumbing and electric it was easy to install. We added insulation around it to make it quieter and hold the heat. We had done the same for our first one. The price of this washer has gone up in the last 10 years, but we are limited to what we can buy. We need the door to be no longer than 25” or it will hit our fridge when open.

Got the machine after it spent 3-4 days unnecessarily being moved by the shipping company so they could make their "delivery window". Rather than just letting it sit at the distribution center. uncertain on how many loads below 50 but was not even that close (hadn't used a complete box of dishwashing pods). had sat for some time due to being unable to load it tried to do wash some dishes and it burnt up. Rather if it was the shipping that shortened its lifespan, or the quality was so pathetic it was a waste of money. Noise? there is absolutely no sound dampening material on it. It doesn't just make noise it roars. not to mention didn't really get the dishes that clean either might have made a good plate warmer if it hadn't had burnt up.

If I could, I'd give it 3.5 stars.I bought this as a replacement, purchased "bisque" color version of this dishwasher but basically the same on everything else.PROS:* ZERO electronics panel to go bad, MANUAL control knob ALWAYS works!* Large enough to put most of the dishes inside, even wine glasses* Cleans dishes fairly wellCONS:* Loud (but I can leave the room)* Ugly steel panel across bottom makes it looks dated* Makes strange, loud noises during cycles (detergent release switch, etc.)* Cycles take a long time to complete* Installation; did not quite fit right, needed trim to cover edges* Lid does not open completely, tray needs to be propped to fillI bought this after being tired of electronic panels going out on other models. I'm getting ready to sell, so I didn't want to pay a lot for this and I didn't, got it on sale for 325.00. It works, does the dishes and had not (knock on wood) failed yet after a year. With so many complaints about electronic panels going out in reviews and my own experience, I will never buy another electronic "touch" panel dishwasher again. I'm even putting a manual model in my new house. Face it, all of these hi-tech dishwashers are junk because they all buy their computer boards from the same place in China. A manual control with an electric timer is the way to go and I'm never looking back! This one ain't perfect, but it's a whole lot better than a 700-dollar boat anchor that goes on the fritz every time there's a power outage. Steer clear of computer-board, touch-control dishwashers!

Great dish washer. Lousy seller. Adjustment foot missing and noise damping blanket missing. No answer to parts missing. Had one of these for about 17 years. Ran great all the time. Simple, no nonsense controls.

Description claims free 10 yr warranty on major components , GE claims 1 yr. Major problems after 2 1/2, will either pay more to fix than purchase price or will have to buy new. Save yourself the headache and the poor GE customer service and buy different product.
