Works great
Used this on the heads of my 70 VW Beetle. Works great and is so much easier than other valve spring compressors. Holds the head in position and the long handle easily compresses spring.

Easy to use.
Works great! Used a couple of c clamps to lock it down. Perfect for type 4 vw heads. Sturdy solid little unit. If you do a lot of vw work its a must.

Get ready to fix it first before u use
Out of the box the tool will not work. Holes for long rod were too small for rod to go through. Will require modification to make work. POS. Only buy if you are ok fixing it yourself. I mean ,how hard is it to trial fit rod in hole. Really poor quality control, and only enough spot welds to hold it on. Could have been better.

Part was not finished correctly
The media could not be loaded. The holes on the side brackets were too small for the rod to fit, had to grind them bigger. The bracket for the spring was not straight had to grind the sides to be able to assemble it.
