An interesting, tasty blend of stuff that's good for you, too
- I appreciated the allergy warning that hibiscus and peanuts are often grown together. I don't happen to be allergic to nuts, but I have a ton of other allergies and I wouldn't have had the slightest clue they were frequently grown together- I also appreciate the adherence to organic ingredients.- Another thing I appreciate is using real cinnamon (Ceylon) instead of the fake cassia stuff that somehow took hold in the USI take turmeric and cinnamon supplements daily. I make them myself and I mostly enjoy that, but the ability to have this tea instead of having to keep track of when I need to make more pills was a nice break.I've never had anything hibiscus before and I didn't expect it to be a major flavor note. I was wrong heh.Something like this that depends on individual taste is difficult to review. All I can say is that I like it and have put it on my Amz grocery list to buy in the future.I felt like the smell was mostly cinnamon and I can't even describe the taste, just that I like it.Don't forget to use the Smile.Amazon.com address - It's an Amazon program where many everyday things you buy will generate a small donation from Amazon to the charity of your choice. Great ingredients. No actual nutritional data.
On a daily basis I ingest turmeric, cinnamon, hibiscus, black pepper. To find these all within a tea bag is a nice discovery. Usually, I add a cinnamon stick to my coffee, and I add various healthy additions, like turmeric, beet root powder, unsweetened cocoa powder. Plus, I will often make hibiscus tea. So, I am familiar with these flavor profiles, as well as the possible health benefits. These tea bags are a very handy, convenient manner to process a healthy and tasty tea. Being individually packaged, they are easily transported, carried in briefcases, backpacks or handbags. Another plus to the form factor.Personally, I enjoyed the taste. I made a quick batch, in a 16 oz pyrex glass (to enable a good view of the color of the tea in the attached photos). I was surprised at the depth of the red color (hibiscus), because turmeric usually adds a strong earthy yellowish hue. The packaging states that 1g of turmeric per tea bag.I also appreciate that the ingredients are organic, and that the respective badges are displayed on the packaging. This tea is good hot or cold. I don't even add sweeteners, just enjoying the natural flavor of the hibiscus.Work of advice: consider using a straw to drink this tea. Hibiscus tea's red tint is very strong and could stain, and that means your teeth. Using a straw will allow most of the liquid to bypass your pearly whites. Also, rinsing after drinking hibiscus tea would help minimize any teeth staining. Also, making the tea weaker lessens the staining intensity.Right now, I have a batch of this tea cooling in the fridge. Nice drink to have cold during these hot summer days/nights.The only negative I found was the absence of nutritional data. So, there is no real information on specific quantities of hibiscus or cinnamon, nor any caloric info. The only data given is the 1g of organic Indian turmeric per bag.So, this specialized tea earns 4 stars, with a high level recommendation.

It tastes more like just turmeric and no strong smell of hibiscus!
I got this tea and I was really optimistic about it. The box was damaged, and I wonder if it is actually the seller itself to blame for it. I say that because I have also received the ginger and lemon flavor of the same brand and that came with the same condition a while before this. I was so excited as I thought hibiscus and cinnamon would make this a wonderful tea. But this tea only tasted of turmeric and not the much of anything else. I have to admit that I was disappointed. I enjoy cinnamon tea, but turmeric tea is normal to me even though I have heard a lot of health benefits for it. This tea was better than the previous turmeric tea I had had but still not that great in my opinion. If you like turmeric tea, this is great as one bag is good for 2-3 cups depending how strong you like your tea, but don’t expect the hibiscus or cinnamon flavor. This was slightly better than their ginger tea, though.Overall, it has a decent price and a good taste of turmeric, but I personally found the missing taste of hibiscus and cinnamon. Having had both the flavors of this brand, I would not really recommend their tea flavors, but it is decent if you are just looking for turmeric flavor tea.
