Google Pixel 4a with 5G Case - Basically Black

Otterbox was my goto but decided to try a genuine Google case. I wasn't thrilled about the cloth look or the non Otterbox design. But after using this for months I'm hooked. It was designed by Google for their phones. It represents an alternative style case that is easy to grip, semi good looking (which doesn't matter to me at all), and does protect sufficiently the Pixel phone because I dropped it more than once. The price was comparable to Otterbox but leaving the unnecessary bulk behind. Try one, they work great.

Love it! Fits perfectly the grip is more durable than reviews suggested, I love the fabric feeling it's something different from the normal plastic or rubber covers. The thickness is pretty normal & it seems like it'll protect the outside more than the screen, so I would recommend getting a screen protector. PACKAGING IS A1

I have always wanted one of these but didn't want to spend the original price. Grabbed one here when the price really dropped.Firstly, the case looks really great on the phone. A nice change from the rubberized cases out there and it stands out. The phone just looks "at home" in this case. I love that the volume rocker is covered with the fabric and is still easy to use. Also love the sturdy power button. The little splash of bright color on the power button and the Google logo on the back add a nice touch.The case is really slim and very fitted for the phone so it has a different feel. Almost as if there is no case on the phone. You have to get used to it if you have had a rubberized case or a thicker case like an Otterbox. The feel is smooth. (I wouldn't say it is slippery) After about a week of using it I got used to holding it.The big downside for me is that the edges don't extend far enough around the face of the phone. I have a screen protector on my screen so there is a bit of space between the protector and the case. Since you swipe a lot with this phone, your finger catches the edge of the screen protector and it is a bit annoying. It doesn't affect performance but it isn't smooth. I suspect this was not taken into account when the case was designed. I am sure it is fine if you don't have a protector on. I also noticed a change in the sound from the speakers, which are exposed with this case. They don't sound as loud, for some reason. But that is really no problem for me.In the end, I do like the case and use it mostly when I go out socially. It fits perfectly in your pocket and takes up very little space in my small messenger bag. That is a big plus. Grab it for this low price if you are thinking about getting one. The phone still has a year of updates left so for this price you will get some good use out of the case before possibly getting a new phone.

Like the fabric upholstery on the case. Looks authentic with G symbol on it. It's completely fulfilled my desires.

The case was as described. It was in mint condition even though it was not new, I guess it was a returned item. This case is well built, but it it does not seem to be as protective as previous Pixel cases. It is more of a semi-protective fashion accessory rather than a proper protection case.

I really like the way these cases look and that they are made from recycled materials. However, I fear there's not enough protection. Maybe it was just bad luck, but I cracked my 1st phone after 20 years of owning cellphones after using this case. I wonder if my old clear rubber case that I was using on my Pixel 4a 5G before switching to this one would have prevented the damage. This case is a bit slippy in hand too. I purchased mine from Amazon Warehouse "Like New" for under nine dollars. I would highly recommend not paying full price for this case.
