Ive had a saltwater tank for years and got sick of weekly runs to local fish store. Bought the full unit 4 years ago and replace cartridges about every 16 months based on my usage. Easy to swap out. Works great. Gives me 0 TDS.

My fishies love the clean water! these are super easy to install and seem to last pretty long.

The maker suggest to change the filter cartridges on the regular base but not more than half a year to a year. I left my on for several years because I don't filter too much water for my aquarium. That will certainly a mistake. When I measure my water the TDS was really high so was phosphate in the water. After changing all the three cartridges my TDS drop to almost zero and my phosphate is no detectable. I lost quite a few corals in the past several months when my filtration was not working as it should have been. So by saving $35 for these replacement cartridges I lost several hundred dollars of corals. So don't be like me, don't try to save little pennies, but by this replacement soon and use it. I will centrally be buying that way more often and keeping my filtration unit in the perfect conditions. Learn from my mistakes!

I use these to make RODI water for my saltwater tanks. Luckily I live in an apartment building and dont pay the water bill making 5 gallons of water a week. Out of 5 gallons, Id say 25 gallons go down the drain. These filters are great and give me 0 TDS with a good main membrane. I sometimes just buy the entire new unit. For another 15 bucks when the sale runs you can get the entire water unit. The DI resin is the one I wish would last longer. But Im sure my area of where I live with water / temp. all make a difference.

Very easy to replace and break in. Just use caution when disconnecting the tubbing. Water can get everywhere haha. Either do it in a sink or make sure it’s dry! Otherwise expect a clean up. Nothing serious though. Minor mess of water is nothing.This is very easy to swap and reconnect. Depending on how hard your water is will depend on how long the di resin will last. Either way this product is worth the value.I can say this more then does the job. Produces 0 tds water in the small compact design of the system.I plan to continue to use this product and no intention on finding a replacement for it.

it lacks all the necessary connections to make it workbut, it works fine if you have the connections

I love the aquatic life products and get a steady 0 TDS from my unit.I have really high water pressure (80psi) which is a must for RO processing. *Cuts waste by halfIf you don’t have good pressure or you live in an area with crappy water get a pump and or prefilter the incoming water before sending it into your high end cartridges.I just got one of their sink kits also that has a splitter to send non DI water to a faucet so you get high end water with some mineral traces. I send deionized to the ice maker for clearer / cleaner cubes and also use that same branch for the fish tanks.I’ve had great luck/success with Aquatic Life products.
