Superb product that is easy to apply
Five stars isn't enough. I've read the negative reviews, and most make it painfully clear the instructions weren't followed. Do this: 1. Wash with HOT water, and lots of cheap dish soap. Specialized cleaning agents are a waste of money. Air dry. 2. Scuff, but do not use anything finer than the scuff pad or 80 grit sandpaper. Go for heavy scratches, and no remaining gloss. NOTE: If armoring rails apply painters tape first, then scuff. Remove tape before washing in step 3. 3. Wash again per step 1. 4. Inspect for smooth paint/remaining gloss, and scuff those areas .Primer exposed metal and rust. Wash again if any scuffing occurred. 5. Paint prept: a. Shield the back of the cab with painters tape and newspaper. b. Remove tailgate and cover attachment points, rubber flaps, bumper, and taillights. c. Remove tie-downs and cover the bolt holes with a 1/2" bit of tape. Finding them is easy as there will be a soft spot. d. Reapply tape to rails if needed. Don't stretch too tight, and firmly press down. 6. First coat goes on lightly as it doesn't have anything to grab onto. Disposable gloves are a good idea. a. The roller seems to leave more behind than the brush for the first coat, but use the brush for tight areas. b. Do the rails last, and start at the cab and work back. c. Wait for the material to be soft but not sticky, then remove the tape and clean up with a damp rag. d. Clean the roller, brush and tray in hot water, and set out to dry. 7. After reapplying tape the second and third coats go on great with the brush. a. Cab first, rails last. b. Be generous with the goop. c. Use long straight stokes. d. Everything else same as 6. In warm weather with sunny conditions my third coat (applied thickly) dried to the touch in 90 minutes. After the second coat it was already very strong.

Looks great and works great!
After testing this product on my hood and grill. I figured out a longer pre-mix was the best way to lay down a good looking coat. I found 3 more pint cans on sale at a local parts store. They were a different batch number but it was worth the price if the even if they did not blend. I painted the rest of my wrangler and the match is superb. It's not the easiest product to use at first but the coating is tough and the prep work seems to make all the difference. Check out the youtube videos from the vendor for more info!

Ok for the cost, multiple coats are a must
Used on many projects from coating fiberglass camper top to decking on a trailer. Looks Good and Cover Nicely. The Durability is not that great when under heavy use. Scraps and peeling are common after a few weeks on the job. I just touch up spots with a brush. If you use 3 coats, maybe it'll hold up better than the 2 I used. I feel like its a good product for the cost.

Ck your expectations...
I use this stuff on a lot of things. I even used it to seal the pan on my swamp cooler. Holds up well and touches up well too. Warning* Don't buy it and let it stand around in the closet for long term...use it. I've had two cans - (not from this seller) go bad and harden in the can. They had sat in a cool closet for about 2 months. PS: makes an easy auto undercoating for cars out here in the west where weather isn't so abusive. I don't know if it would hold up in the east with the snow and salt. Truck beds - works ok. Sure it will scrape off if you through bricks in your bed because it's not $800.00 like what the want for the professional stuff...

Great Product! Ordering More!
I ordered one can to test it out for myself. I was very pleased with the consistency of the product. It applied with an easy spray application. It has a slight texture which hides surface imperfections. I pulled out all of the carpet in the bed of my Jeep for this project. For a proper bed coating several layers will need to be applied. Also, once you start using a can---plan on using the entire can. I do not think it would be reasonable to expect the sprayer to stay clear if you allowed the product time to set-up in the sprayer. I think that is what some of the negative feed-back is about. When you start using the can---use the entire can at THAT time...Or plan on waisting the remainder of the product. I am not certain how many cans I will need to complete my project. Probably 15. I just ordered 4 more cans. I figure I'll order 4-5 cans each week until I get the thickness I desire. It will still be considerably less expensive than having it professionally sprayed. Plus, I still have use of my vehicle during the process. WIN-WIN!

Amazing protective coating, easy to apply.
This bed liner paint is pretty Amazing. We’ve used this in our truck bed, lower rocker panels and also our trailer bed which is wooden planks. This is an amazing protective coating which extends the life of the metal and wood on our units. Easy to apply, dries in the specified time, washes up without deteriorating! Highly recommend this product!

Solvent-based Dupli-Color did not meet expectations
I bought a quart of the solvent-based Dupli-Color Truck Bed Coating to apply in the bilge of a boat I am building. It was applied on top of clean and prepped fiberglass as well as clean and prepped textured plastic. This is the third boat I have done this to and I have also sprayed a bed liner in my own personal truck (all other times with a different product). The instructions were followed to the T (and don't try to tell me I didn't; I work with enough fiberglass and paint to know how to properly prep and this isn't my first time). I could not get an even application and the coverage was about half of what was advertised. Adhesion was poor, at best. After a week of curing in 90+ degree weather, it was still soft and rubbery. As a test, I got a knife and peeled up a corner. I was able to pull bits of it off. The pieces pulled off felt gummy and stretchy. I think maybe I received a bad can. The consistency was not like any of the other bed liner products I have used in the past. Attempting to receive a refund.

Works great on truck bumpers
Aftermarket steel bumpers experiencing rust spots can be fixed with this product. Looks like new.
