I bought these for a first sewing project for my 4 1/2 year old twins (boy and girl). Prior to this, I had them practicing on the lace boards, so both had a good concept of whip stitching and straight stitching. They LOVED these little pillows. I had to work with them to get them started and finish. But they could do the work and add the face stickers. Each little pillow took them 30-45 minutes to complete. I loved the plastic needles and prepunched holes. The set included 3 whip stitched pillows and 3 straight stitched pillows. It was a perfect progression from the lace boards as it added a skill for threading a needle, using a needle, stuffing, and having a finished product they were so proud of. I highly recommend.

This is a great kit for kids who are just beginning to sew! I got these for my 5-year-old to learn basic sewing. He made the animals for Christmas gifts and they turned out really cute. Everything you need is included (including fiberfill stuffing), and they're individually packaged, so you could give away the kits one at a time if you wanted to. I attached a picture of the frog my son made. He kind of went his own way with the design but it still turned out really cute, I think!

Easy for kids to learn the very basics of sewing and create something cute. My grandsons (7 & 10) are learning to sew and this was a good starting point. The stick on elements are very small and difficult to get the backing off of but we managed to.

This was meant to be a Christmas gift and it is do incredibly embarrassing... there is no way this could ever be a gift item. The individual sewing kits come in a vacuum sealed packaging. It looks like I ordered something (think candy) straight from a Chinese mass factory. I'm pretty chill with low expectations, but this was do bad I had to write a review. If you are wanting to have a few kids over for a craft and take these out of the packaging and into a zip lock bag for a craft, then that might be cool. Otherwise, this is definitely not what I expected. I budget for gift and this is an absolute waste.

My grandaughter loved them

We purchased these little kits for our brownie troop as a part of our introduction to sewing lessons. The girls, who were all 7 or 8 at the time, loved the colors and the animals. Each kit was packed separately which made it super easy to distribute. They were the perfect size for them to hold and learn how to thread a needle.

Did this sewing activity with 6 year old gals and it was fun. They caught on very quickly and were able to get great results in finished project with some help. Had fun choosing the different animals to make. Each kit had everything included to make the puffy and even had little chains to attach them to backpacks etc. needles were plastic so were not harmful. Would definitely purchase again! Kids loved it.

The product is fun. Requires working with the kid throughout though. I bought it for my four year old who enjoys it a lot. But I have to call out the thread aka the wool that is provided almost never enough. That made the experience frustrating. This giving it a 2 star.
