Life can be difficult and if your main relationship is not working smoothly there is hope that it can be way better when you discover two very important facts. This book explains what men and women normally want. There are of course many exceptions!I read this book with a highlighter in hand, then after days of reading I went back through the book reading all the especially important parts. Some of the things I paid attention to included:What are the primary needs of husbands and wives?What is the real goal of marriage?What could instantly save your marriage?Why is obeying God and working hard on your marriage the way to incredible fulfilment and joy?One of the most important things the author mentions includes this statement: "I can experience hurt, but it is my choice to hate." ~ pg. 287What this book helps you do is refocus your efforts and realign with God's will for your life. Mainly the author points to the fact that you are in a situation where pleasing Jesus leads to a more productive and fruitful marriage.I will say that a lot of this book is lol funny and it will also make you cry a few times too.I read this book along with "This is War: Effectively praying for your husband when the enemy attacks" by Dee Johnson. I am confident these two books can change at least a woman's life as frankly what else besides prayer, knowledge and actions can?While reading this book you will realize that God will honor your efforts and help to change you into the person you were made to be. God can help you overcome even the most persistent problems in your marriage. Prayer works!!!!I am living proof that reading marriage books and trying out the advice has kept me married since 1995! There are definite ups and down in a marriage that is going on for nearly 30 years! If you are struggling, keep going because things get better with effort and unconditional love and respect. This hard cover book came with a paper outside cover. The book is of good quality paper and all white hard cover. The contents are amazing! Written from a Christian man’s perspective it is well written and he explains that men get to see when women are mad they really are begging to be loved. Women get to u destined that men prefer to be respected rather than loved… all from a biblical mindset… great read!

My wife and I taught this in our marriage class at church. This book is easy to read and understand. The topics might be hard to discuss for some, but the workbook does a great job at guiding couples along. Something my wife and I enjoy about this book is that it breaks down mainstream societies view on marriage and everything taught is backed up biblically. I highly recommend this book for any couple whether you are happily or unhappily married.

I couldn't put it down. It shed new light on problems between not only my wife and I but also my children. I felt disrespected by my wife and kids but I wasn't loving them unconditionally.

Really great book! It is an eye opener. I wouldn’t advise taking this heart to heart or word for word. I’d use this as a guidance. I love the Bible and research topics that are added. There are many discussions or examples that totally pinpoint my husband and myself. There are also times where it mentions a percentage men blah blah blah and most women blah blah blah but it’s the opposite which help me come to an understanding of why I am react a certain way or why my husband reacts a certain way. This book is mainly geared towards the respect a man needs so although us women can gain a lot of insight sometimes it may feel things that are being said is bias which may be true but like I said use this as a guidance and just ask your mate how they feel about that particular topic. Easy to read and understand. Great gift!

This book helped my marriage a lot. As newly weds we found ourselves facing challenges that we didn't forsee. We were fighting a lot, and I feel like God led me to this book. When I read it I was shocked that the author was describing what I had been going through the past 6 months. Once I started to apply principles from the book I immediately saw a change in my husbands behavior, and our marriage. Highly recommend! An amazing book, that just speaks truth from the Bible. I am forever grateful for this book, and how it has helped our marriage! I still come back time after time to refresh.
