This upgrade is a MUST, especially at this price point.
I paid less than $50. It's a great product. I was able to install this short shifter in less than 30 minutes. Before and after the install are like night and day. I would recommend this upgrade to everyone with a compatible car. I installed this on a 1997 Ford Mustang GT.

Feels like a knockoff hurst in a good way
I love my hurst shifters, but needed to find one for cheap. Amazing short shifter, no more long throws in the new edge, amazing price, very tough to maneuver when first installed but, once the bushings start getting use it loosens up and shifts amazing! Highly recommend for your Mustang if you don’t have the money for a hurst. Best bang for your buck, easy installation, looks amazing, and works perfect.

Be careful on your model
Different tops on T-5s. Bolt pattern was off but was able to modify it to work. Shifts fine.

Can’t beat it for the price.
I just swapped a T-5 on my Mustang and after getting a new transmission and all of the parts together, my budget was getting a little thin so since these seem to rated highly I decided to try one. After having a B&M ripper and a Steeda before, I was surprised how well it shifts. It’s a bargain!

Good after modifications
The media could not be loaded. Shifter feel is good. Very comparable to a Pro 5.0 or the like. HOWEVER, the bolt hole spacing for the shift lever is very short compared to the (somewhat) standardized spacing of hurst shift levers.I am not sure if this narrow spacing matches foxbody or SN95 shift levers. But the supplied shift lever is not adequate for a late 60s Mustang. It is too small and too far forward. So I removed the inner lever from the shifter and welded the second hole up so that I can drill a new one for the standard spacing.The ball end that sits inside the bronze/brass/plastic bushing inside the transmission also needs to be sanded/filed to spec. The chrome plating creates a tight fit. A little bit of sanding got it just right. But be cautious about removing the internals with the shifter still mounted to the transmission. The bushing likes to hang onto the ball end and will fall into the shift rod chamber. Ask me how I know.TLDR: after 2-3 hours of work this shifter is just as good as its big name competitors.

Fit 2002 Ford Mustang V6
This shifter fit my 2002 Mustang V6. Some mentioned the brass bushing in the car was too small for shifter to fit, mine fit fine.You will need oil resistant RTV to seal the shifter to the trans and blue thread locker (medium strength) for all the hardware.For my application I took the springs that were installed out and replaced them with the included stiffer springs. Until I did this the shifter would not return to center on its own.Watch the video you-tuber Chrisfix did on this install of his Mustang. He explains how to set the 0.010" of play on the stop bolts to keep from damaging shift forks.Hopefully these details help, I know detailed reviews help me.

Good quality but only for Mustang.
I bought this to customize for a Camaro T5, per a YouTube video. I started to disassemble both shifters, then realized that I would only gain 1/8th inch of fulcrum vs the stock shifter. Then I noticed that, in neutral, the mounting plate doesn't line up with the case. This would lean the lever to the left and not seal. Sorry, this really won't work for me, for minimal improvement in throw and the amount of customization needed. I do recommend this for the Mustang application, however!
