Honestly, I love my new upgraded Avantree Plus headphones. There are so many good things to say about them, the list goes on and on. However, here are a few highlights to give you some idea of how sensational these headphones are... For someone who is somewhat technically challenged, set-up was a breeze because of the new no fuss auto-pairing capability between the headphones and transmitter - very cool and very convenient. Another new, exciting and appealing feature is the excellent quality of sound provided by the headphone's three sound modes. Since I watch a variety of movies, documentaries and videos, this feature is very desirable and useful. Additionally, the headphones substantial but light-weight construction and its luxuriously-cushioned earcups make for a very pleasant experience when I watch videos or listen to my favorite music for as long as I want without any discomfort at all. I highly recommend these headphones! As for customer service, I had a problem with one of my previous Opera headphones that was damaged by a very unusual accident. Since it was covered by a 2-year warranty I contacted Avantree and explained what had happened. I have to say everything went exceedingly well. The representative was professional, considerate and a real pleasure to deal with. Subsequently, after Avantree reviewed the issue, it was quickly resolved to my complete satisfaction. Now that is outstanding customer service. Bravo Avantree!

I cannot recommend this product highly enough! While hard-of-hearing hubby wears the headphones so he can hear everything going on on TV, the rest of our family gets to listen to movies and shows still using the surround sound system with no reduction in the listening experience for the rest of us. This wireless headphone set hooked up SOOO easily and has helped keep peace in the family (not to mention I can go to bed while he is still downstairs watching TV and I can fall asleep in the silence!). Plus hubs loves them because he can hear nuances in the sound and words that would be hard to hear at a normal level without the headphones. He absolutely loves them. 5 stars for the product!Update after 2 years: The most important part is a product is only as good as the customer service behind it. After 2 years of DAILY use, my husband's headphones wore out. The foam was popping out of the earpieces, the plastic had broken on the headband, and he had them duct taped multiple places because he wanted to keep using them so badly (they still actually worked despite this...). I messaged Avantree Custmer Service to see if it was possible to purchase a new headset only (instead of the entire package) and heard back from Janice. She was THE BEST! Not only did she say it was possible, but she went the extra mile and sent me a new headset free of charge. Totally unexpected and VERY MUCZH APPRECIATED!! Customer Service 5 stars!!!So if you are shopping around and need a recommendation, please take my advice, don't look any further. The product works great with surround sound systems, headphones sound great for the wearer, and customer service is as good as I've ever had. Thank you Avantree and Janice. You have a customer for life!

I am 75 years not so young. Hearing is not what it used to be. Several years ago I bought a headset to attach to my TV. It worked fine until we got a new "smart TV" (apparently smarter than me). I could not get the old headset to work acceptably on the new TV, it would cut off the TV speakers when plugged in so my wife was not able to hear the TV. I found the Avantree Opera wireless headphone on Amazon and it appeared that it was just what I was looking for. The only caveat in the Avantree description was that it may cut off the TV speakers on some smart TVs. But you could route a sound bar through the headset charging unit. I thought it was very expensive, but I am not an audiophile and am not familiar with pricing of this sort of thing. My wife insisted I order it for my birthday. It arrived in a couple of days. After reading the setup instructions (very easy to set up!) I attached it to my TV, turned it on and it worked perfectly. No sound bar needed for my TV. My wife could listen to the TV to her comfort level and I could listen to my comfort level.As I said earlier, I am not an audiophile by any means and I don't know about sound cancelling headphones, but when I have the headset on it is not easy to hear anything else. (This is a good thing). This is also the most comfortable headset I have used. The headset conforms to my head, fits completely over my ears (unlike my old set), and the controls are easy to use once you get used to where they are. No discomfort after hours of use. I fell asleep with these on with no discomfort at all. I especially like the EQ button that tones down the noise and lets the dialog come through clearly.The only concern I have had was when I turned one of the earpieces too far when putting it down. I thought I had pulled it apart, but it went right back together with a slight push. I recommend being careful in this regard.I am extremely happy with this product and absolutely recommend it.

Set up and connection is easy. Links up very quickly without issues. Sound is alright. I'm sure there are better and worse available out there. The 3 sound options is nice. It seems to default to balance mode. I wish it would stay on the last setting. I wear these in the morning to listen to news. Im up moving around most of this time. Range is pretty good and stays connected with a couple walls between you and transmitter. My biggest complaint is that the switches rattle when you move around. This headset has solved the problem with not being able to hear voices on the TV speaker. When I put these on and take them off I grab the head band and not the muff portion to try and prevent the breakage issue. I can see that the pivot point may be a weak spot. After using them for a little over a month, I'm pretty happy with them for the price.

I recommend these headphones. The sound quality is great, and they are easy to hook up to your TV. I like how you can hook them up through HDMI.
