Firstly,find out the location of the leak.this can be done by wearing the gore-tex clothes or waterproof clothing in water for a short time and then checking the inside for a “wetspot”. B. Turn the Gore-tex garment inside out,and clean damaged area by a dry cloth for repair. C.Covering the seam tape with a piece of paper or cloth is a good technique that will help shield and protect your iron and the tape Using a household iron at moderate temperature(302°F-320°F).You will patch the inside of the 3-layer fabric. Cover small tears and holes by enclosed adhesive tape by 4/5" larger.Keep the adhesive side down,place over the hole,and medium/hard pressure for 10-15 seconds. E. After the seam tape cools, check for any loose edges and use the iron again if necessary. Repairs should appear the same as taped seams inside the garment.

It worked great. Resealed Goretex jacket before a ski trip. Very easy to iron on.

It's only 6.5', otherwise great product.
Make sure to read the description, the image of a roll can be deceiving! I was deciding between 3 different listings of this product and thought I was getting a lot more, turns out its only 6.5'. It was enough for the first project I was working on, the quality is good enough as far as I can tell for now (only tested through 2 washes so far). Won't be ordering again though since I need significantly more than 6.5'. That was obviously my fault 100%.

I have an older North Face expedition rain cost that is in great shape other than the seam tape delaminating.This tape goes on great using the tip of an iron set to the lowest, or next lowest setting. In some ares the seam was a bit bulky so the tolerances for attaching the tape so it covered the seam on both sides was pretty tight.Hint:Clean the seam area to remove old glue from previous tape and schmutz using rubbing alcohol and wipe with a damp cloth and let dryDo small sections even it means overlapping the tape as trying to wrangle a long section of tape, a hot iron and piece of clothing will often have the iron hitting a portion of the tape that is not being ironed.Go over the tape along the middle first and then along each edge (iron it three times) without stopping.

This is a must have in your repairs kit. Never know when that time comes to fix our GoreTex problem. This tape truly hold it strengths and seal extremely well..

I ordered Grey as the inside of my rain jacket is grey - they sent white. it seems to stick ok - make sure you let it completely cool before checking for how well it stuck.
