They don’t last forever
I will first start off by saying our neighbor has a breezaire, different model. We went with breezaire because our neighbor had no issues. We have had ours for about 1.5 years. It has only been running for about 1 year as we waited for our wine room to be completed. The room was built around the unit and to every specification outlined within the manual (photo copied paper - no actual manual). Just around the 1 year mark, the unit was not cooling correctly. I contacted the service department who had me do the factory reset numerous times to no avail. They then told me to place cases of water in the room.?.? I have almost 900 bottles of wine in the room. That didn’t work. They then told me I needed a bottle probe. I bought the probe and paid express shipping. I plugged the bottle probe in and the entire unit shut off and would not work. I called back and they said I needed a new control board. They sold me that at a discounted rate plus shipping. I was able to swap out the board and the unit ran great for 5 days at which point I was told to plug in the bottle probe. After plugging in the bottle probe, you can see from the attached picture that it turned into a block of ice. I was then told to unplug the electricity and the bottle probe, wait for everything to melt and then plug the unit in without the bottle probe. It’s been 5 days and the unit appears to be cooling within the parameters. They will not refund or take back the bottle probe. In addition if you want warranty work, you have to ship the unit (75lbs) back to California. Pack it well because they do not accept liability for any shipping damage. I am so sorry that I went with breezaire. Please read the fine print and understand parts/labor and where the unit can be serviced without voiding the warranty. I’m currently looking for a different manufacturer. I only wish that I had the luck of my neighbor.

Peoblems
I’ve had ongoing problems with this unit. I have spoken several times with Breezaire technicians to work out the issues. As of today I might need the controller replaced. The technician suggested I try something to see if the controller would work. If not they suggest replacing it.

This one is replacing a previous Breezaire 6000 which started giving me a lot of problems after 8 years in my wine cellar. So far it has only popped the circuit breaker once.

Breezeaire coolers don't last.
If you were able to get eight years of use out of one of these units, you'd be doing far better than most. I've only been able to get five to six years of use out of Breezeaire coolers and their service is sketchy and parts are outrageously priced, forcing you as a customer to buy a new unit rather than trying to salvage your five year old unit. Poor choice of product.
