Sturdy and nice color
I needed extra space near me where I sit and often do many things, like write letters or read. Even though this piece wasn't placed in a corner, I kept in mind at some point in the future, I'd have that option. I also felt like I'd get more use of the shelf space for my purposes if I didn't choose a regular square or rectangle shape shelf like this.It went together with no issues or missing parts. The back side isn't meant to be viewed openly but it is finished the same as the rest of the unit, aside from some screw holes down each side and one small end strip showing the particle board material where the pieces meet up in the very corner. Again, this is a corner shelf so it is supposed to be this way. I don't mind this showing due to the way I have it placed but it would also be very easy to find a cover up solution, if you needed one. This is a sturdy, heavy piece. It has been bumped into by my dog and does not budge. I wouldn't put something precious and breakable on top it you are concerned about it but it is a nicely weighted shelf unit, with good amount of space on the shelves and I'd buy it again.

Great product
Nice, sturdy book case. I kept the bottom shelf out so it can hold the larger books. The other shelves are pretty short but work great for the kids' books (or I can lay the larger ones down in a stack on the upper shelves) Super easy to put together, I paired it with a cube case from the same company. They came with hardware to hook them together but they are weighty enough and stand in a corner so I didn't need to use it.

Solid product at an affordable price.
This product actually looks quite nice and is just what I was looking for. While it is a veneer over particle board, it does not feel cheap. It is reasonably heavy, in fact, and sturdy. If I had one quibble, it is that one of the board surface edges is not covered by veneer. It is the side that is facing the wall (i.e., the corner), but given a veneer strip of this size (the edge of the board) likely costs $0.25, I am unsure why they manufacturer wouldn't just "splurge" and cover that to make it a truly convincing piece of furniture just in case part of that is exposed or as someone moves the piece around. Other than that, I feel it is pretty impressive for the price and I am pleased with the purchase.

Easy to put together, holds good weight.
Easy to assemble, I did it in 15 minutes and didn't need help. Not very heavy, I am able to move it easily from room to room, if I want to. The shelves are pretty sturdy, but I wouldn't put more than 20lbs on each one, for sure. Made of that particle board stuff, but seems to be of decent quality, especially for the price. Only thing I wish is that it had brackets holding the shelves up so they could bear more weight, instead of just the screws screwed into the sides. Comes with those plastic dot things that cover up the screws on the outside, so all you see is a smooth surface, no tops of screws. Overall, a good little shelf, but not for heavier stuff or kids rooms, as it would probably fall over fairly easily if it became unbalanced.

You get what you pay for, be careful.
You get what you pay for, and maybe less?. Every single piece came with some kind of damage on it. Chips, huge scratches and some of the veneer wasn't glued on correctly. Also half of the wooden dowels were broken upon delivery.I only used 3 of the 5 shelves though to make enough room for taller books so I was able to minimize the amount of dmg that can be seen from the front. It is heavy, sturdy and looks nice though, that was enough to give it 3 stars. I knew that only paying < $40 for a piece of furniture would be a gamble, guess I just lost this time. Oh well. Some people have had good experiences and others bad. It's just a crap shoot.

Perfect size for shoe shelf in my entry way
This was the perfect shelf it was easy to install and also in great condition, it was perfect for my entryway to have guests put their shoes in. We have a small entrance for our townhome so it was the perfect size. Great quality. Instructions were clear and I did not need many tools you just have to be careful when Drilling because it made ship the wood.

Not what I expected
Poor cheap quality. It wouldn't have been that bad except the quality of the product. Yeah it looks cheap but I'm putting it in the corner so it looks pretty good from a distance and really suits the need of a corner unit. Of the 5 shelves, one had a huge scratch (of course on the top side so everyone can see), one had a drill mark as if the person who drills the holes for the screws started to drill the top then realized he was suppose to drill holes in the side (of course on top as well) and a third the laminated "wood" was peeling on the side that faces out. And that third shelf with the peeling had a chunck missing in the corner like someone dropped it in the factory. Obviously quality control at Foremost is lacking because anyone could see these blemishes easily. But I don't feel like packing this whole thing up and shipping it back. I'll eat the 60 or 70 bucks this thing cost me. I don't all their products are this dinged up so maybe the one Amazon sent me was a reject that got mixed in with the good stuff. I really don't see how 3 out of 5 shelves could be so damaged and not be a reject batch. Thanks Amazon.

Poor worksmanship, not straightforward to assemble.
The first ill omen was its state of arrival- one of the corners of the box had been torn out, and the shelves damaged. Okay, I thought, I can deal with that, a little cosmetic damage is no big deal. With such a simple storage system, I assumed that it would be easy to setup- five shelves, two walls, how hard is that?Turns out it's not easy when the holes are drilled poorly. They're not even aligned! So now I have to go get a drill and make my own holes, all because I wanted to save a few dollars. The shelves are put together with wooden dowels, which you'll need 20 for (2 on each side of 5 shelves). You're given 12, 4 of which are tiny little ones not long enough to serve its purpose. So now while I'm buying a drill, I'm going to buy some dowels too. This was completely worthless.

Easy to assemble
Easy to assemble, colour nice and dark, just like the picture. Only issue I have is that the shelves are not adjustable. I had planned to use this for DVDs, but they don't fit. However, I still love it, and it fits perfectly with the bookcases i have alongside it.

Too many holes and scratches
I'm not sure if this was also a used item that Foremost has sold to me, but there are scratches everywhere and so many exposed holes. I bought this corner piece to let it stand alone. The holes on the sides are exposed and noticeable. Many of the quarter pieces have scratches on them and they were all covered in dust. There is one noticeable scratch (see image) luckily it's on the inside of the module but it's still noticed. I unpacked everything carefully to avoid scratching new items, however this was covered in wood dust and scratches upon receiving it.
