Works Too Well To Be True!
Before I got this punch, I'd been drilling holes in small sterling silver discs, and while it worked OK, it's difficult to hold the discs in place, and to get the holes exactly where I need them. I was using my Foredom Flex Shaft and drill press, and to be honest, I always dreaded this part of making some of my jewelry pieces. It suddenly occurred to me that there must be a tool made specifically for punching holes in metal (I can be a bit slow) so I started my search. Most of the punches I found were for bigger holes than I need so I was getting discouraged, until I found this one listed on Amazon. As soon as I noticed the brand name I knew I was in the right place. I have Eurotool flush cutters that are amazing, and have lasted for many years, so I figured the quality of this punch would be excellent. I was right. It was delivered yesterday and I can't even express how lovely the holes are that I've been punching! They're exactly the right size for my needs, and the tool works so perfectly, that it's like cutting through butter. I'm currently using it on 24ga sterling silver and haven't tried it on heavier metal, but because of how easily it goes through the 24ga, I'm not expecting any trouble with 20ga or 18ga. I probably won't ever need to cut through anything heavier than that. The pliers have a comfortable grip, and are easy to hold and maneuver. Oh, I do have to use my fingers to remove the disc from the punch, but except that it takes a couple extra seconds, that doesn't bother me. The tool is very well made, and comes with an extra tip, as advertised. I recommend this to anyone who is tired of using a nail, hammer, and drill to make holes in silver, and then having to work like crazy to file the backside, and try to re-flatten everything. ;-) The holes I've punched don't need any cleanup, but maybe as the tip wears, that will change a bit.

effective for use with undrilled copper blanks
I have recently gotten into metal stamping. I was limiting myself at first to blanks that already had holes punched in them. But that was getting old -- there are so many shapes out there that don't already have holes. Plus, the arrangements of holes were fairly standard -- one at the top or two on the sides. What if I wanted to make a Y connector with three holes in it? So I started looking around for ways to get around this limitation and I happened upon these. These make a fairly small hole. The hole is large enough for a variety of jump rings but not so large it stands out. They are not too hard for me to hold or use (I have small hands and tiny, weak wrists). I have been mostly punching holes in 24 gauge copper blanks thus far and these work pretty well for that. I do sometimes find the need to file afterwards; not sure if that is my technique or a feature of the punch. But there is a lot of filing involved in working with metal anyway, so that's not really an issue. I haven't had too much of a problem with marking the surface of my blanks but I have done a little experimentation with co-punching something like paper or cardstock and that seems to help (and not to make the punching too difficult) protect the surface. I would recommend wearing safety goggles when working with these. Also, mine came with a spare punch attachment so be on the lookout for that. These arrived in stiff, clear plastic that was supposed to be attached to a cardboard backing, but the plastic had come loose from the backing so the spare punch was loose in the box. So just watch out for that. I am not sure how many punches these will be good for before it needs to be replaced. But, I am happy with the performance thus far. I have a number of Eurotool supplies now and I've been pretty happy with all of them. They are affordable and they do the job I bought them for, so I can't complain.

Perfect Accessory Tool For Bottle Cap Jewelry Making!
I purchased this EuroPunch 1.25mm Round Hole Punch Pliers for Sheet Metal by EuroTool for making the holes in bottle caps. I make bottle cap necklaces and hair bows mostly used by children and needed a tool that would produce a nice clean hole without leaving any sharp edges and without having to apply tons of pressure to do it and this most definitely fit the bill! These pliers can punch holes in copper or silver up to 18 gauges thick. They are blue and black, are 5 ¼ inches long and the punch pin is 1.25mm and an extra punch pin is included in the package. When making necklaces the 1.25mm size is ideal. These are also great for all sorts of jewelry making and other hobby work. I have been using this for quite a while now and have had no issues and have had great results and have seen no sign of dulling even after hundreds of punches. I highly recommend this as it is a high quality crafting metal punch!

Great tool but no replacement pin included
I had some copper sheet that I wanted to punch holes in for jewelry. Using this punch was effortless, and made a nice hole for my jumprings, however it did not include a replacement pin as specified in the description. I see some other reviews which indicate that they also didn't get the replacement pin. If this is not going to be included, than the packaging and description should be edited by the seller.

Just perfect!!
Love this hole punch but it would be even better if it was smaller like maybe .75mm or 1mm. It is very comfortable to use and not awkward at all in the hands. Shipping was quick and easy and well packaged (in my case came with other items)I found out via a great site prior to buying this product that if you cut out a small piece of plastic that this tool comes in and use it as a cover it prevents any and all indentations that it does make when you use the tool without it, so do NOT throw away the plastic part it will be your life saver!!! This is probably the best advice that I could have ever had when using this great and convenient tool. It even comes with an extra pin too! (the same size though)

Received used or with missing part
It was either used or not quality checked before it was packaged the pin in the pliers is missing/broken the only think keeping me from returning these is the fact that it came with a replacement pin and I am in need of using it.

This punch is exactly what I needed for my project. It is lightweight and comfortable in my hand and produces small precise holes with no effort. I needed a tool to punch holes in fleece fabric so that I could crochet an edging to make a baby blanket. This tool easily goes through a double layer without ripping the fabric. I highly recommend it !
