Can anyone tell me the strength of the Hydrocortisone in this product. This si generally shown as a percentage, as in Hydrocortisone 1%.

0.5% means to add 2 zeros in front. 0.5% is 0.005. Hope nobody thinks the published strength means 5% or 1/2 of a percent. Appears to be so weak as to be almost useless, or that it will treat only very minor, fleeting issues that would probably go away on their own.

Is the hot spot totally gone? Or just tempurary itchy release?

We have a dog with a serious skin condition, and treat with 2 tabs Benadryl 3-4x/day, and this spray 2x/day. The spray has made a world of difference. She now scratches only rarely, and her skin has healed greatly. You do have to keep it up, though. You can't just stop. If your dog is seriously uncomfortable, you may have to start with a vet visit to get prednisone (steroid), followed by a good bath, just to break the cycle of itching/skin-weeping/bacterial or yeast growth.

Does it burn when sprayed?

It did seem to cause intense discomfort initially with first application today...until it was really dry. My Peek-A-Poo is extremely "itchy", most likely a "rebound" effect from steroid allergy shots, so we're ready to try literally ANYthing to help her. She seemed to itch much worse after being sprayed...but, thankfully(!) when it dried she was much improved. Cautiously optimistic!

Directions	Shake well. Spray affected area thoroughly and evenly until wet. Treat twice daily for one week, then once per day for one more week. If needed, continue every other day for two additional weeks. For topical use only on dogs and cats over 12 weeks. Avoid contact with eyes.
