I bought this for my husband and he loves it! He immediately put away his plain shaving soap and put this in it's place. Nice smell, not strong or overpowering.

I consider myself a savvy shopper on Amazon and I purchase alot of items but every once in a while I get bamboozled by a company such as this and their "puny" piece of shaving soap. Go ahead and find a large bar of regular soap in your bathroom- with a sharp knife cut it into 4 equal parts-select one part and and voila there you will have the above product! But be advised that this (puck refill) is $14 dollars for each individual piece making the bar of soap worth a total of $56 dollars... but its organic and made with special clay- horse manure!! I will never pay $56 hard earned dollars for a friggen bar of soap!! Be advised!!Someone is laughing all the way to the bank and it aint me-I just hope other savvy shoppers finally catch on and stay clear of this organic exploitation and simple greed! Shame on Amazon too! Lastly, the box is cute.

It says 2.8 oz net wt but it is just shy of 2 oz and by 13.99 not worth returning it

I purchased this Fieldworks shave and face soap for my husband. Due to the nature of his job he has to shave every day during the week and seeing that he has sensitive skin, many products are just too harsh for him.This soap sparked my interest because it is made from all natural products and is made in the USA. I also like the fact that the design of the package and label have a vintage feel.One of the things my husband likes about it is the smell. It has an earthy almost sandalwood type smell. The smell definitely is not overpowering. Unfortunately, the soap did dry his face out so he decided to use it on his hands and body instead and it worked well. However, since the bar is in a cube shape, it feels a little strange in your hands because we’re so used to rectangular shaped bars!While overall we liked the product, in our opinion it is a bit expensive for typical everyday use. My husband and I have been trying to move toward removing as many chemicals in our life as possible. Looking through our house almost every product, even things like shaving cream, have unpronounceable chemicals in them. I've been searching for alternatives for everything. I want to get back to basics.For shaving I used to use Skintimate Cocoa Butter, but there's tons of chemicals in that too. I've started shaving with soap. Unfortunately, my skin ends up much drier and I have razor burn. I was also getting nicks and cuts. I usually had to reapply and go over the areas twice to have a close shave.I tried this product because it reminded me of the sort of things my grandparents would use. It doesn't have all that damaging ingredients. It looks like a hand made product. The only ingredients are a combination of things I already have like Coconut and Olive oil, Cocoa Butter, Vitamin E.To use this I first wet the area I'm shaving and then put it on like regular soap. This makes a thin lubricated layer. I use a slightly thicker layer just on my knees.It gives me a close shave and I don't have the razor burn. I don't have to go over the area twice.I was surprised with how easy it was to use and. My husband really likes this shave soap so far. He uses a straight edge razor and this has been a perfect combination with it. It lathers up nicely, and doesn't cause him any irritation or break outs. It has a very mild scent, which is nice. I gave it 4 stars because I wouldn't also call it a face soap-I tried it on my face and It felt dry and weird. I plan to try this for my legs too, since my husband says its great for shaving. We love that its chemical free, with safe natural ingredients.
