fast and accurate
The media could not be loaded. this is a portable bluetooth 1d barcode scanner, it’s really small lightweight, it could either connect to ios/android devices with bluetooth, or desktop computer with the micro usb cable includedit could be used to scan barcode one by one or scan in a batch, used this scanner for a few days, the speed was very fast in both scanning modes, and the result was accurateit gives multiple responses to acknowledge successful scanning (buzzer sound, led light and vibration)the battery could last 10 hours per full charge, charging port is micro usb, it could be charged with a power bank or even notebook usb port, very convenientmy only complaint is that the casing material is smooth and slippery, no anti-slip pad on the casing, use the hand strap is a must, or it would be very easy to slip off from handall in all, i’m happy with this product, would recommend ithope you find these information helpful

Palm size Bluetooth Barcode Scanner
Delivered by AmazonThis hand held bar code scanner is a game changer for me , it arrived well packaged inside its box along with a wrist strap , a usb charging cable ,a grey velvet drawstring bag and a small instruction manual along with a card which has barcodes on it to assist with set up .First I turned on the Bluetooth on my phone and then pressed the button on the top of the scanner for 3 seconds there was a flashing green light and the scanner was then paired to my phone . Next step was to configure the keyboard virtual and language , once this was done it was ready to use .I love how small this device is , it fits neatly into the palm of the hand and is simple to operate , it has a button on the top which you press down on as it scans barcodes you'll know it's working .There's a red light then it beeps . If you already have the item in your inventory it shows you what you've scanned , if not you can add to your inventory list using the virtual keyboard .This is going to be a godsend when I get back to work , I can scan a list of items that are out of stock to produce a list for restocking .Very easy to operate , small enough to carry in a handbag or pocket I highly recommend !!

Handy inventory scanner once you've appreciated its limitations
The data capture 'inventory' mode was the feature I was most interested in using, though it is quite happy to be a 'tethered' reader, either using via USB or wireless Bluetooth. The hosting machine was a Macbook Pro (MacOS 10.15.7).It read all the 1D barcodes I could find, though my application uses Code39. When collecting data in inventory mode, it sensibly goes into standby after a few minutes. To wake it up it needs an extended button press, but it won't scan without a further press. If Bluetooth is within range then there is no visible indication regards whether the unit isactive. If not, some more button pressing is needed, which can be a little irritating. However, it is likely that Bluetooth will be out of range so it gives a steady green, flashing warning - a useful, accidental indication that the unit is active. To copy the buffer to the host requires USB or Bluetooth. I have notfound the re-establishing of the Bluetooth connection to be reliable, so one resorts to using USB. This does have the advantage of also toppingup the unit's battery. The unit comes with a barcode command menu card. The code for clearing the buffer is next to the code for outputting the buffer and you can all too easily clear the buffer. As it is 4Mbyte (not in the spec) this slipcould permanently lose a *lot* of work. I put a Post-it over the clear command! You fairly quickly find out that the commands are short strings with theprefix '/*' and affix '*/'. In inventory mode inapplicable commands will be treated as user data. So a user who is not clear about what mode the reader is in may scan items from the menu card and these will be stored in the buffer. The unit will scan many types of barcode without restriction, so it is quite likely some later filtering of buffer contents will be needed in practice. The set of warning tones I found too complicated to understand. So there needs to be a very clear and simple procedure defined for the inventory-taker featuring a restricted menu card. There is a vibrator aswell as a sounder - useful in noisy environments.Having monitored the battery status, I can believe the life claims: I've not yet seen mine go below 100%. The Bluetooth range is going to depend on local obstructions and I've not witnessed it work further than about 6m.At the time of writing there was no manual available. However, the customer support is responsive. It may be that there are a lot of functions that are not covered in quick start guide that comes with theunit. We'll see.

After just a couple of weeks, I am finding this Inateck Barcode Reader invaluable
I have had previous Inateck products before (an iPad Keyboard and Cover) which I have been very happy with, but I didn't know the company made other items until this barcode scanner became available to review. I have two jobs, one where I am employed, and the other as a small business owner. As my business has started to grow recently, I have struggled with stocktaking, and I have found I am spending too much time, finding items to dispatch and track. With this Inateck Barcode Reader, my MacBook, and inFlow Inventory software (software and MacBook sold seperately), I have become incredibly efficient. Thanks to Bluetooth 5.0, pairing the reader with my MacBook was simple and straightforward. The battery life seems to last a long time, I haven't had to charge it once so far, having used it for at least 6 hours, scanning approximately 150 items so far (and counting). It is very compact and fits in my pocket without any problems. It looks very well designed and feels like it would be robust and could cope with a few knocks or drops.I've never had a barcode scanner before, so it is hard to know if this is truly brilliant, or if there are better ones out there, but I have had no complaints so far, and I generally update my reviews if things do eventually go wrong. My only very minor criticism is that I wish the user guide was a little more detailed as I am such a novice when it comes to using a barcode scanner, but it such a minor issue, that I still believe this Inateck scanner warrants its 5-star review.
