RockyMounts Locking Loball quick release bike rack pick up truck

Purchased 2 x RockyMounts Loball and 2x Driveshafts for mounting on their 60” bar. I rigged it up to sit on top of Tonneau cover so I can still get full use of box with bikes and tow a camper as well. It’s a home rigged job, but nailed it. Only concern is that I have only had them installed for 1.5 weeks and I noticed rust on some components (both models). I attached pics. Quite disappointed...do I return them? Surely they should not be rusting, they are designed for outdoors. Cheap materials on some components. Stainless or zinc coating would of at least prevented this.Great product over all for my needs, but not sure what to do....I don’t want to be scrapping these in a year and buying another set up. Will contact RockyMounts direct I think and see what can be done. Worse case send them back, sigh.....fortunately I can make other brands/models work, just an inconvenience to do so.

We have a 2019 Ford F-150 with short bed and we were concerned that the tailgate wouldn't close with bikes in the back. After adding the mount, we are all set! The ride height is great and materials feel like it all should hold up well. When I ordered the box was pretty beat up and had lost one end bracket and mounting hardware. Amazon shipped a new one out and all came correct the second time.

It was not clear that this  RockyMounts LoBall Locking Mount  did not come with mounting hardware. Not a show stopper. But I had to order the SD Hardware Kit directly from RockyMounts, Inc., and pay an addition $6.95 in shipping cost. Too bad RockyMounts does not offer the SD Hardware Kit on Amazon. Unless you plan on drilling holes, order this one:  RockyMounts LoBall Track Mount

Sturdy, high quality, but seriously no reason it shouldn't come with hardware. How much extra can 2 bolts, nuts, and a couple washers cost to toss in?

I set up the mount in side the rail system on my vehicle. holds the bikes well, locking feature, and with the rail I can mount just about anywhere in the bed without having to drill. The only issue is the paint will fade if you leave it mounted and in the sun.

This is a great way to hold a bike in the back of my pickup. The locking feature gives me peace of mind knowing my bike isn't going anywhere!

This is a well made mount that holds up. I mounted it to my roof rack to save bed space while keeping a low profile.I do a lot of off roading and these mounts have endured. Granted I have an excellent suspension but they still have to take all the forces of driving on trails.

This is an absolute SOLID mount for my road bike!!! Keeps the investment safe when traveling to a ride destination!!!
