Works surprisingly well
This review is based primarily from my wife's feedback as I bought it for her, although I have used it a little myself just for testing. The first one I ordered didn't work at all, it would go dead the second it was detached from the USB charger. My wife really wanted one though, and this had great reviews, so I exchanged it for another and the second has worked great.it's well made, sturdy, and the iPad second gen clips right in. She doesn't have a pen but there is a space for one so I can't comment on how it works. It charges with a USB-C adapter, holds a charge a long time, and the keyboard itself hold the bottom of the iPad in place when it's propped open. The kickstand keeps it sturdy, the red backlight is a very good choice as it's easiest on the eyes in the dark, and once connected - itself an easy process - it works just like a regular keyboard. The volume and brightness controls reflect immediately on the iPad, the media player controls work in everything including YouTube, and it has all the command, control, alt, function and other keys from both Mac and PC keyboards. My wife has praised it over and over, and sometimes when using it will say 'I love this keyboard' or 'this keyboard is so great.' It has converted the iPad into a not-quite PC and really expanded, at least for her, what it can be used for.Once we got one that worked, it has worked great.

Good fit
My wife didn’t want it. After she received it and put Gen9 in it, she is happy and loves the color(teal).

Worked great for 2 years
I used this product for 2 years without issue. After 2 about 2 years the backlight stopped working. That wouldn’t have been a big deal honestly, except the keys are teal and the printed letters on them are not bright white so it is near impossible to see without the backlight. And the size of the keys is a little small so that made for slightly awkward typing here and there. For the price, this was a good product. The case is still going strong.

Great purchase, price was reasonable
So, I purchased this keyboard case in place of my last iPad case purchase because I didn’t receive the last case. I am glad I got this one instead. It was easy to install, sturdy, and I love the mini computer look with the rotating capability.

Huge disappointment!
This was one of the worst products I have ever purchased. The space bar kept sticking. In fact, ALL the keys were difficult to use. The case was big and bulky. The keyboard that was supposed to be magnetic fell off very easily. The final straw was when the keyboard fell off, hit my tile floor, and never worked again. What a waste of money. Horrible product.

Heavy, clunky, not easy to use, too many problems with it
I really wanted a nice iPad case that included a (detachable) keyboard and a place to keep my Apple pencil. This case does all of those, just not well at all and it's got a whole bunch of other flaws that really detract from its ease of use and handling. First the keyboard: it's super thin and lightweight, but does not do well with fast typing. I don't know if it just can't keep up with me or what, but the error rate is much, much higher on this keyboard than any others I use. It does have colorful back-lighting, but you can only see it in a dark setting. There is no battery percentage indicator; the only clue your battery needs charging is when the teeny little blue light in the upper right starts blinking. I have no idea how much power you have left when that happens. It pairs nicely with the iPad the first time, but sometimes seems to lose its pairing and you need to go into Bluetooth settings on the iPad to reconnect. It should pair the minute you turn it on. As for the case itself: it seems sturdy enough but it is also clunky and heavy. If you store the keyboard inside the case, it's even heavier, but if you don't do that, you have no way to protect the keyboard when you are not using it. When the keyboard isn't attached, opening and shutting the case is not smooth. There are so many folds that you need two hands to maneuver it all to get it closed up just right. I often feel like I'm going to drop the whole thing or the iPad is going to fall out. If you want to use the case as a stand, there are three grooves in the one flap so you can set it up for viewing. If you are not in one of those grooves, the iPad slips and goes flat. This is not an issue if you have the keyboard attached to the flap as the edge of the keyboard will hold the iPad in place. The Apple pencil holder is very good--it's the exact right size, is easy to get out via a slot in the back, and there is a little holder for the cap for when you are charging the pencil. Finally, the buttons that you use to control your iPad are awful. The on/off switch at the top right of the iPad is really, really hard to get to, as are the two volume / brightness buttons at the top right side of the iPad. The reason they are hard to get to is because that is where the piece of the outer case is attached to the part that holds the iPad itself. The back piece extends beyond the iPad case and that is where you need to get your finger in to adjust things--and it's really, really hard to get in there to do that (and I don't have large fingers). The cutout for the charging cable at the bottom of the iPad is so close to the input slot on the iPad that you have to be very precise to get the charger into the right spot on the iPad. For the most part, you can't do it without looking directly at it; this is not the case with other cases I've had. Overall, I'm disappointed with the product.

Pretty good with two small flaws
In addition to the original review.1. Sometimes it is necessary to turn the keyboard off and on again to restore the connection.2. The product description says: "After 2-3 hours of full charge, the wireless keyboard stands by for 90 days."I don't know if I have a defective copy, but the keyboard needs to be charged after a few days of not very intensive use.ORIGINAL REVIEW:It seems to be a fairly high-quality product, which, admittedly, takes some time getting used to.There are two small flaws that I would like to point out. The first one is that when the iPad is placed at a more or less comfortable angle, it is quite unstable when held in the lap.Another flaw - small, but extremely annoying - is the Delete key, which locks the iPad and is located right above Backspace, and where at least my finger always goes instead of Backspace. I don't know if this key can be turned off - if it could, I would do it immediately.Still, especially considering the price, I recommend this keyboard.
