This works quite well. I have type 4A/4B hair where this is applied and it truly holds. I apply the gel first to smooth down my edges and add this to hold them firm. It works! Plus, it’s black-owned, which is awesome.

To enhance the smoothness of my edges and hair, all I need is to apply a small amount of gel around the hairline or tapered areas, then comb or use fingertips to achieve the desired level of straightness and silkiness. This usually holds my hair all day.

The edge control has a decent hold but often turns white. I will not blame that solely on this product because I use other oils and butters but that appears to be the case. It’s usually not immediate probably about half way through the day. I will say, that other than that the product is good, not greasy, smells good, and you get a big jar of edge control for the price.

This product is everything the good reviews say it is. I went to 6 different stores looking for this product and it was sold out everywhere! I finally got sick of going to multiple stores and just ordered it off amazon. I have been natural since 2001 and have tried many, many, many products. I sometimes think I have a problem with buying so many hair products because I have and can be ridiculous. However, I heard about this product from watching countless YouTube videos and everyone said they loved it. I decided to give it a try. If you put it on you edges in the morning and leave your hair alone, it slicks them down for the entire day (my days are usually around 12-14 hours)!It doesn't curl your edges, it lays them down nice and flat and works great for wash n gos, ponytails, straight styles...whatever you want that you would like for your edges to be nicely laid. I would consider my hair to be in the 4a range and it makes it look super fine, but I think it works for any hair type that wants to tame those edges for an extended period of time without using harsh gels. I definitely recommend and will continue to purchase this product!

After a lot of thinking I purchased it. I'm not sure I love it though. I have natural hair about 4b. I don't pull my hair up often, I'm not a professional and my hair doesn't just lay down so I gave this a 3. I put this on and I absolutely love it. Hair lays right down and I use very little to get the job done. But, it doesn't last long at all. I'm talking about an hour tops and if i put it on my side burns even less time. I don't know if you have to doctor it, ie spritz, hair spray, gel, head band to hold it down, but it doesn't hold for long in the nice slick and smooth you get when you first put it on. The hair stays in place its just not as polished it just frizzes up and you see those rebellious roots start to kick up. I don't like the build up. If i use it a few days in a row my hair feels tacky. Almost like I have a wax on it. It just feels icky. . You may have a better experience with it but mine has been like every other edge control, tight and right while going on and an hour later it looks like you did nothing.

The best edge solution! I have stubborn grey edges. Not sticky or flaky, just a smooth finish. I love it!
