Rugged Flip Phone
I am a dinosaur as I still use a flip phone and ATT is discontinuing there 3 G service so I needed a new flip phone. This one came as new in a box with the ATT logo and new battery. I had to get a new SIM card as this phone only takes the smallest version of SIM cards. Battery life seems very good, ran a week on standby. I was able to connect to WiFi, but is slow and cumbersome to input text. It is built like a brick and appears indestructible, but is rather large. Serves my purpose very well.

Quite a disappointment! The phone will be returned to Amazon immediately
This phone was sold by Energy Electronics and fulfilled by Amazon. I bought it to use it on the T-Mobile network. The phone came in a dubiously looking little box, which had inside the phone, the back cover (detached), a little unreadable instructions sheet, and the charger. Installing the SIM card took a lot of guessing and experimentation. After charging the battery, the phone would not detect the cellular network. I forced the network detection manually; then, the phone alternated between showing the T-Mobile logo, and the phrases "No service." and "Emergency calls only". The phone was vibrating every few seconds; maybe to indicate that it could not properly connect to a network. During the 4-5 minutes of experimentation, the battery charge dropped already to 96% (the battery didn't look new by any means, anyway). It is supposed to last 10 days in standby mode.Quite a disappointment! The phone will be returned to Amazon immediately.

Best Flip-Phone Ever Used!
Shipping: No problems with TaylorWireless at all. Product arrived in perfect condition and on time!Pros:1.) Best flip phone I've ever used! It has amazing specs. Really easy and quick to learn and use the interface and everything loads and runs smoothly and quickly.Cons:1.) Every time you open up Contacts it prompts you to use the AT&T Address Book to store your contacts in the cloud. It takes approx. 30 seconds for the prompt to load and there is no way to quit or disable this annoying message. Every freaking time you open up Contacts it loads the prompt. The shortcut I discovered to accessing your Contacts quicker, is to hit the back button approx. 15 seconds into the prompt loading and it will "bypass" the annoying message. However, since I rarely access my Contacts List it isn't that huge of a deal, and if you have no network connection you can access your contacts right away because the prompt won't be able to load! It's mainly just a pain in the butt when you need to access your Contacts.Of course, this is only a problem if you don't want to store your contacts in the cloud!2.) This is an unlocked, but branded phone. So even if you use a different GSM carrier like T-Mobile (such as myself), every time you boot up the phone, the AT&T logo will appear. Your choices of ringtones, etc. are ones pre-loaded from AT&T, options to use EPTT are from AT&T, etc. despite the fact that you might be using a different GSM carrier.

Price was right
Used product received in like-new condition. After 1 year, telcos stopped supporting 4G. Grrr, liked my phone as it is the toughest I can find in a flip config. Yes, I'm an old guy, but I need a rough service phone and this was it! I used to demonstrate dropping it from a height of 5 ft and it always worked after. Try that with your iPhone, ha!

is ok. Don't expect much and you will be fine
Kyocera is just ok. I am still not sure what was the point of Android as operation system, since this is not a touch screen. Forget about internet browser, with screen this small, and no keyboard, no touchscreen, it really is pointless. If you want a flip phone then buy the cheaper one and be done with it. Since this one is branded as AT&T, even though it is unlocked, internet tethering or hotspot options are blocked. I went into the trouble rooting it, but with lack of knowledge I still can't unlock hotspot feature. Kyocera is being marketed as "military grade" tough phone, but honestly I haven't tried driving nails with it, or washing it down the toilet, so I can't attest to it. Battery life is mediocre at best, which is disappointing since I particularly looked for flip phone to get away from continually dying smartphone batteries. Mike is not any better than other phones, signal strength is same. Camera appears to be ok, although I am still to upload any image off of it, it isn't as straightforward. No GPS. But then, can't run any kind of mapping software on this phone anyway. Texting on this phone sucks. You are soo back to late 90's, I mean if you are old enough you will have skills. No predictive text. Only couple languages pre-installed. No voice to text, although voice commands are supported. I have had this phone for about a month, it still works ok.

SIM Card Installation Issues
Tried two of these and could not get either one to work for long. First one worked briefly but then was not able to read the SIM card. The way card installed seemed to be a connectivity issue. Could not even get the second one to work at all. Very solid feeling phone but that’s about all the good that can be said about it.

Great phone
My husband didn't want a smart phone so we were looking for a quality flip phone. This one seems to be exactly what he wanted. Love the loud speakers so he can hear when he is inside or outside. Lots of extra features, too. Works with the Tracfone sim card we bought. Glad we bought this one. Shipping was quick and phone was just as advertised.

It's a great Phone!!!
The phone is fantastic, using it with Consumer Cellular, all I had to do was call them and give them the Phones IMEI #. Once that was done, it works great. Although it's branded AT&T it is Unlocked, and should work with any carrier that supports CDMA telephony. It's a bit hoggish when it comes to battery life, almost have to change it each day. But I think that's the AT&T firmware, so there's not a lot I can do about that. Over all, I have to give it 4.5 Stars, if not for the fact that it is a bit battery hungry it's a great buy.
