Q: Does this material stretch? If so how much?

They tend to stretch a bit, but always go back to there original size. They are truly the softest throw you'll ever buy. I have 4 throws and 2 robes. People say they have a smell when opening, I've noticed it. But I hang outside for a few minutes and it's gone. Once you buy one you'll be hooked. They are my go to sofa throw, my travel throw, I have even given up an old one to my dog, who loves it. Good luck with your decision. I hope I've helped.
