Update. Used it every day for a few months now. Zero issues. It does seem like there is a bit more back bleed in the corners now but unless your looking for it you just don't see it. I have it on an amazon basics arm (AmazonBasics Premium Single Monitor Stand - Lift Engine Arm Mount, Aluminum - Black) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MIBN16O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I've had it since 2018 and i's a beast of a mount. Get's moved and adjusted constantly depending on what I am doing on the computer and no issues. Really like the Alienware display. As with any display you need to dial it in to your tastes and I did that the first day and have since played with all the features and love it. I don't use the speakers. Good purchase although I would not have replaced my X34 with it had the X34 not been destroyed. I wasn't planning to upgrade my display till the end of 2020. While rearranging my setup for DCS I managed to put a keyboard corner into the X34 pbmiphzx and turned it into a 30 inch screen. While trying to live with it while getting up to speed with displays out now things went "melty, smokey, fiery" fun and that was it for a good x34 I had since May 2018. Now I was back to a ASUS VE276Q Black 27 from 2011 and after you go wide screen there is just no going back so after catching up on what's out I went with the Alienware. VERY HAPPY. It's a very nice screen with deep blacks and really good colors compared to the other 34in. Very little bleed around the corners. Almost none at the top and just a bit around the controls on the lower right. Took awhile to get it all setup and I was REALLY impressed. I play with the lights in the room on dim or off and by brightness setting was turned down quite a bit. I see people complaining about it but for me it's perfect. Did a clean install with the GFroce drivers and set it to 120hz. Using an EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 Hydro Copper to push the graphics with no issues. It's mounted on a dual display VESA mounting arm that gets moved around every day and the added cord hooks on the back do a perfect job of not pulling at the connection points. Nice slide on cover to really lock them down. Really like the light system on this one but I have already been through my RGB dance for me baby phase so for the most part everything is set to red but you have some good options for lighting. Kind of a shame that I am not using the included stand. It's crazy solid with more light options on it. The little touch on/off light on the bottom of the screen is really useful. Only change I would make to that is a touch brightness and color option for that. 2 USB ports right at the bottom hold my USB Unifying Receiver and my 3D printer thumb drive nub. Out of the way but right there when needed. More USB ports on the back but all I have is the TrackIR5 in there. There is very little piano black which is good as I leave fingerprints over everything. The entire rear panel is all greyish white and to be honest I don't care for it much. There is absolutely no heat coming off it so I plan to wrap the rear in vinyl. Little Alien dude in the corner lights up which is just fluff but it's nice. I had an Alienware M17 R2 back in 2010 and just never thought about them again once it's time had past. Really good controls. Very easy to use and move around. Standard power cord and extra cables included. As long as everything keeps doing it's job over the next year I may push back upgrading my display another year or so. Maybe pick up another used one to replace that ASUS which I use as a 2nd screen for in game instructions and basic functions like news and quick net searches. Not a fan of their pricing. It came out at 1500 and went on sale for sub 1k which was were is should have been priced from the start but it is worth every penny of that 1k price in my book. Just missed the good sales but what can you do when your not shopping for a new display. Overall I think this is a fantastic choice for gaming and movies. No HDR or sky high HZ options which is what I was waiting for to upgrade but at 120hz native it's ripping it up. Oh ..Good packing job with the Alienware box. It's the Xmass rush and Amazon has falling a little short on the packing jobs this month. Normally you get tons of air bags and what not. All this had was a bit of brown paper tossed in which did absolutely nothing in the slightly larger box it shipped in so the Alienware box had a few dents in the corners but not a single thing was out of place in the factory box. Normally Prime does a better job. I once got a pack of cheap metal paint brushes that was packed up like the most fragile object ever shipped. If your on the fence with this one go ahead and get it. Good price for the spec and looks amazing.

The monitor is amazing with little IPS glow which is amazing. The borders are huge tho.the bottom seemed a bit disoriented.Could be because it’s curved but nothing major.

Cons: there is something I see no one talking about in regards to HRD monitors and older intel CPU, Video playback is horrible I haven't tested newer intel CPUs but anything launched before before 2018 from intel has bad video on a HDR monitor from my testing and analyzing got a AMD CPU and video playback was perfect I suspected this which is why I kept the monitor but I'm happy I did...: Next is the RGB is a joke is not bright enough and for over thousand dollars I feel it should have a music mode and video visualizer also only has 1 RGB mode ???....: also is pretty pricey.....: and last is not just this monitor but I feel like all monitors should have and auto color calibration feature :P....: due to the size most sites have big black or white borders which feels like a waste of screen BUT it is a marketed as a gaming monitor so i guess it gets a pass also to combat this i just have two applications side by side makes it a much better Pros: Videos Playback is super smooth and colors are pleasing to look at had and HRD monitor and honestly is the same HRD is mostly hype...: The Peripherals amount of connections are great...: input lag is perfect...: and gaming is where it really shines as is ultra smooth...: and last the aesthetics are really nice looks good in pictures but in person it looks perfect.... i know i wrote a lot more on the Cons but i feel like this does have more positives than then negatives if you can you're able to spend the money

I just received this gorgeous beast of a monitor, and I am over the moon. I haven't been this happy about a purchase in along time. I had the previous AW3814DW model, and the picture quality on this newer model is vastly better (and the previous generation was great!) The colours are saturated, punchy, and the response time is amazing. I mainly play COD Warfare, Madden 20, and Apex... it's like having a third set of eyes (seriously). Important notes: My particular unit has absolutely no backlight bleeding, no dead pixels and very minimal IPS glow. I hear the AW3420DW quality control was a lot better than the previous generation and I can certainly attest to that. This has easily been the best investment I've made in 2020. I also work from home so this is a win-win situation on all ends. Go buy this now I've you've been thinking about it... Now. PS: If you have any particular questions about it let me know!
