Awesome sucker
Greater than expected suction. Especially for the price. Its light weight and easy to maneuver. We have all tile floors. I'm surprised at how much cleaner my home stays overall. Way less dusting than with a broom. Nothing gets kicked up into the air.

GREAT SUCTION & LIGHT WEIGHT
THIS SMALL VACUUM CLEANER IS LIGHT WEIGHT BUT PLASTIC ISN'T AS GOOD AS MY OLD MIGHTY MIGHT. THE HOSE IS CHEAPLY MADE BUT WORKS FINE FOR MY USE. I DO LIKE THE TOOLS BEING ATTACHED TO THE BODY SO NOT TO LOSE ANYTHING. IT HAS GREAT POWER & IS EASY TO USE. IT HAS SEVERAL TOOLS AS WELL AS A BRUSH FOR DUSTING. IT HAS A LONG ATTACHED CORD & THE HOSE IS LONGER AS WELL.

Great on Hard Floors
This is a great vacuum if you don't have carpets and I don't. It's the best I've found for hard floors. It's lightweight, inexpensive and has lasted longer than any vacuum I have had. It has great suction. It picks up pet hair and other floor debris.

Light, mighty, and handy…but not for carpets
Pros: 1) very light and easy to carry; 2) has powerful suction on bare floors and with the crevice tool; 3) very affordable price; 4) has easy to change bags (I think bagless vacuums are gross to clean especially since we have a chihuahua who sheds her body weight in fur); Cons: 1) really loud. Wear ear plugs or go deaf; 2) utterly useless on carpet; 3) handle pole extension wand too easily comes apart, so it can accidentally come apart when vacuuming under chairs, etc. Overall, I am glad that I bought this little Eureka Mighty Mite vacuum. I will still keep my heavy Kenmore for area rugs and carpets, but this Eureka does a great job on bare laminate floors and saves my back.

Easy to use and handle, and has a lot of suction. Works great for vacuuming cars or trucks.
Great product, tons of suction and very easy to use. I bought this to vacuum out my car and truck and it works great for that. Comes with extra bags which is nice. Easy to work with. Very light weight and easy to handle.

Much better than both my wife and I actually thought it would be
To be honest I really wasn't expecting THAT high of a ceiling for this Eureka, at least given this vacuum's $130ish price tag. After going through a slew of upright vacs and now swearing off the cursed Shark brand forever, as well as trundling through a couple of inexpensive and thoroughly fragile stick vacuums, both my wife and I FINALLY decided that we needed to go back to a cannister-style machine way-of-life. Both of us miss our old and sadly long-expired Electrolux cannister, but unfortunately that company has abandoned that style vac for its own series of uprights. Oh well...even the good ones can be dumb...it's now on with the search. I decided that we really didn't need to spend several hundred dollars on a new vac, at least for now. Our old Electrolux was around $400 thirtysomething years ago, which translates to almost $970 in today's money at the date of this review. Yowch; no I'm definitely NOT going there. Instead I decided to take a chance and buy cheap...er...inexpensive. I did a search for cannister-style vacs on Amazon and found a few very positively reviewed examples from Eureka. Intrigued, I did the proverbial deep dive into some of those units and came away with the feeling, "not bad" with regards to the brand. Besides, we've had a bit of prior experience with the brand through a chunky handheld corded vac that we bought several years back that has held up quite well over the years. But instead of sticking with the one of their heavily reviewed cannister units, I saw this one with very few reviews (maybe one or two had posted at the time of its purchase by us, both VINE reviews) and decided, why not? In my mind the $130 price wasn't expensive, certainly not compared to the money we spent and ultimately wasted on Shark uprights, and nowhere close to what we spent on our last cannister, the Electrolux, even ignoring the 33-year adjustment for inflation. What could possibly go wrong? Well, not a heck of a lot actually. This NEN170 set up and worked like a honest-to-goodness vacuum right out of the box. It works just fine on our hardwood and solid laminate floors, does the area rugs justice and has enough reach to get to dust and cobwebs lingering up in the hinterlands of our home. It's a plus that it's HEPA-rated, has decent capacity for its compact size AND has a strong, easily retractable power cord mechanism that we've forever missed from our cannister vacs of yore. After a month of relatively steady use, we couldn't have expected anything better, right? Well, not exactly. There ARE a few things that we miss. This Eureka doesn't come with a boatload of accessory attachments. It doesn't have a powered agitator head with a headlight on the end of its hose/wand assembly. Things that some of our past, more SPENDY vacuums came standard with. Sometimes you just wind up spoiling yourself with stuff, and wish that you can continue the trend as time goes one. But then I remind myself of the price of admission for this Eureka...and all is golden once again. As it turns out, several of the attachments from past vacs that I kept around in a plastic tub in the hall closet fit onto the NEN170's wand and hose PERFECTLY; sometimes it does pay to be a bit of a hoarder, if you have the room to make that work. So fortunately the gripe about missing attachments is now a non-issue. YMMV however. The powered agitator...well, this Eureka didn't cost us $970 or even $400, so keeping THAT in mind, it's a loss that we can easily live with. The suction power of this vac is ample enough to deal with the amount of filth that we generate and so far do it with nary a protest, so how bad can it be, really? Not bad AT ALL as it turns out. For the money, FIVE SOLID STARS all day long and into the night (though I'm really not into nightime vacuuming, per se). Anyways, Happy Vacuuming 2U! (geez, that sounds so disingenuous...)

EDIT: so we are 2024 now and I honestly have nothing bad to say about this little unit. I’ve had zero problems with it and 100% recommend. All the parts have stayed intact, the suction is the same as day one and it’s given me no issues whatsoever. I take mine apart and clean the hoses and attachments a couple times a year to make sure it stays that way. Change the filter out once in a while (or just wash and dry it) and never let the bag overfill. Hands down one of my best Amazon purchases! So far this is exactly what it claims to be! It’s an affordable little vacuum that has amazing suction! I LOVE that it’s so light and doesn’t put any pressure on my wrists like so many of the chargeable stick vacuums. It works wonders on pet hair and hard floors as well as short pile rugs/mats. I don’t have any carpet in my home so I can’t give any insight there. I was very hesitant because I kept reading conflicting reviews but I did a lot of research and decided it’s cheap to begin with so what do I have to lose! My last vacuum was a tineco and I spent over $500 on it (ugh) and not even a year later I’ve had so many issues I can no longer use it. You’re not always getting a high quality product the more money you spend. Also, I absolutely love that it uses bags instead of a dust bin that you have to empty. That means no dog hair or dust flying in my face during cleanup as all you have to do is remove the bag, throw it in the trash and put a new one in. I’ve been using the same bag every day for a few weeks now and haven’t had to change it yet so even though they look on the smaller side it’s been lasting quite a long time. It’s super light, easy to vacuum stairs and nooks and crannies, the cord is nice and long and I have no problems with having to manually wrap it underneath (some people complain about silly things.) I can understand the concerns about the plastic/hose seeming a bit flimsy but it’s a very inexpensive vacuum so I’m not sure what everyone was expecting. Also I’ve had no problems with the extentions coming undone while in use...I actually struggle to get them apart when I want to use the wand to get in a small space so no complaints there either! I love the little attachments that come along with it too, I’m actually excited to clean my vehicles with this vacuum, lol, as I know it’s going to work awesome! I have nothing bad to say about it this far! Hopefully I won’t have to update my post anytime soon (like I did the last vacuum I purchased from Amazon.) Don’t listen to the bad reviews, I wish I hadn’t because it’s been a great little vacuum that I really wish I had ordered sooner and saved myself so much money. That’s it, I think I covered it all! :)

Vacuum itself is powerful, light, compact and easy to move around the apartment, great on the hard surfaces. But as in the some reviews mentioned, the wands plastic weak and can be broken easily. Likely, we can use metal wands from the old vacuum (it fit).
