Dahlia, The active Vitamin K2 in thei product is indeed MK-4(menatetrenone)...MK7 is also an especially effective absorbable form of Vitamin K and some manufacturers blend Vit.K1 with the Vit.K2 but so long as you get K2 in softgel form and take it with some fat soluble meal you can rest assured that you will get the benefits of Vitamin K...Eggs are an especially good source of K2...Hope this helps. Is this the cis or trans form of vitamin K2?

This product contains ONLY Vitamin K2 MK-4 (as menatetrenone). This is not a mixture of K2 MK forms and there is no MK-7 in it. The bottle does not indicate whether this is a mixture of cis, trans or even a single isomer. K2 trans forms appear to be the active form in humans, but I have read that whether they are ingested in the cis or trans form is simply "marketing hype." Even K1 can be converted by gut micro-organisms into small amounts of K2. Note that I am not a chemist and CANNOT CONFIRM THIS.
