It helped my child a lot at school and he loved it.

I purchased these for my homeschool classroom. My kindergartener used these hands on manipulatives to work on 3D shapes and their characteristics. They have since been used by my four year old and two year old twins and have held up to their imaginations and creative play. - The foam is sturdy. I was admittedly worried the tips of the pyramid and cone especially would not withstand handling (or, in many cases, throwing!) but they still look brand new after a few weeks worth of heavy manipulation/play. - They are the perfect size for young hands. We did an activity where I hid them in a bag and my kindergartener was able to get his whole hand around the shapes to distinguish by touch between its vertices and faces. - I used chalk to mark the corners/faces and it rubbed right off with a towel. - They stack, roll, and slide well. If you're looking for a no-fuss, very functional geometric solid bag, this is a really great deal.

I did not receive the product as shown in the photo. The prisms I received are long and narrow, in the same proportions as the narrow yellow cylinder pictured. The color is also not as pictured, rather than the bright blue it is a dark navy. This makes the faces of the hexagonal & octagonal prisms tiny, dark and difficult to differentiate. The photo is identical in composition to a similar product: 'Learning Resources Hands-On Soft Geosolids, Set of 12' so I suspect it is copied. The Learning Resources product comes in 2 more elaborate versions including either activity cards or a teacher's guide and other items. I chose this simpler and cheaper version since I didn't need geometry lessons for a 4 yr old. He can identify a variety of shapes and the idea was to help him visualize how his vocabulary of 2 dimensional shapes translates to their 3 dimensional counterparts. I purchased an octagonal box at the dollar store for storage and presentation. They arrived in a ziplock style bag in a padded mailer. I initially panicked imagining crushed and dented contents but the pieces are durable and solid so everything was intact. They were a birthday gift and while my grandson immediately started pulling out solids and identifying them he quickly became distracted and moved on to other activities. I don't regret this purchase but I am very disappointed by the narrow versions of the prisms. The chunkier style shown in the photo is visually more appealing and shows the shapes much more clearly.

I'm a new mom and want my child to be at her grade level( Kindergarten), so when my childs teacher sent a list home naming multiple shapes the children had to learn. I started to serf Amazon for these three dimensional shapes. That when I came across these. My child love them because they are soft, squishy and easy to learn with.
