The can has a great deal of pressure and uses a standard red nozzle which makes it perfect for degreasing difficult-to-reach areas and cleaning out rattle paint can nozzles after painting. Mine did not come with any straws but I had some left over from other paint prep products. Someone mentioned they thought it was alcohol based, and I don't that's correct. It smells somewhat similar to Xylene to me, but different - and after looking up what I believe is the MSDS (no ingredients listed on the can itself), I think the primary ingredient may be Chlorobenzotrifluoride, which is a Xylene substitute. That being the case, it would probably be wise to wear a respirator when using this product. My initial impression is that it may be a bit more harsh than Xylene on painted surfaces, but I haven't done a side by side test of that. Realistically though, if you're just trying to prep an ordinary metal surface (painted or unpainted), a can of alcohol based glass cleaner should be sufficient. In fact that's what the guy at the local auto paint store said they use at their body shop. This stuff has its place though. I bought a 6 pack for about 50 bucks and am very happy with my purchase.

This is a very harsh solvent. I usually use Prep-all for pre-prep of my panels/parts before painting them. I poured this in and let it sit for a day or two. To make sure you understand I paid about $50 for a Sherwin Williams Automotive Industrial Chemical Hand pump sprayer that filters the fluid so no debris is ejected onto the parts. It ate all the O-rings out of the sprayer. I could not even pump it. The O-rings material was sitting at the bottom of the container when I went to open it up. So do NOT use this type of chemical applicator.

I used this to prepare my granite countertops to put a coding on them. I wish it came in a smaller size but it worked great. It prepped the surface and make for a durable and long lasting final result.
