Q: What’s up with these pliers? The jaws do not even come close to lining up with each other. Anyone else have this anomaly?

I'm not sure what your problem is. They take filters off of the engine. I've been using them for about 10 to 15 years. The teeth and pivot area tend to wear out after about 6,000 or so filters, so I buy a new one for each shop every 2 or 3 years.

Q: can this be used on oil filler cap thats stuck ?

Yes, thats the type of thing it is great for. I’ve even used it to pull and tighten a chain link fence .

Q: Would this work to remove RO membrane housing 3 " cap?

By RO I’m guessing you mean reverse osmosis? I don’t know the torque on that fitting but it would fit a 3 inch diameter fitting. It is good for torques found on oil filters and food jars.

Q: does this work on lawnmowers?

Hi, it depends on the real situation. You can check the diameter of the filter and if the using room is enough for our oil filter pliers. Jaw capacity: 60 to 102 millimeters.
