First time user of this Total Boat product. Found the product easy to use. Directions were clear; supplied pumps function without issue; product dried well and quickly, even in my woodshop with temperatures in the 50s and 60s. I also found I was able to touch-up and blend with previous Total Boat epoxy pours without any issues. I would note, I used this product after application of the wood hardener / stabilizer by Total Boat. These two products have worked well with each other and have brought my project to a successful completion. Thank you, Total Boat! I will buy again.

Easy to use application as long as you FOLLOW the instructions. I’ll purchase this product again for sure. I use a lot of clear epoxy for the things I make. This one holds up really well over the years. Used it as a bar topper and I was very impressed with the durability. Torching the air bubbles to remove them is pretty easy too. Have fun with it, don’t rush it and you will a quality finish.

Used to seal an outdoor table formed out of 26 pallet bottoms. Went with Total Boat’s Epoxy as my first option after watching The Wood Whisperer’s Video endorsing the brand. Product is easy to mix. No fuss measurements. Mixed product with acetone for better absorption. Laid down 3 coats for the top and 2 for the bottom with 220 grit sanding in between. The product produced excellent results and sealed medium to minor openings. Purchased the quart option just to test out and it was well worth it. Well priced but for larger projects, the gallon option is necessary even if it is pricey. At a 2:1 ratio, you end up running through the hardener a little quicker than the epoxy. Will buy again! Might try the penetrating epoxy kit next to see the difference in absorption rates and quality of seal. A great product for any woodworker making quality waterproof outdoor furniture.

I called Total Boat for advice before ordering. I wanted to know how long it would take the epoxy resin to set and cure. I am making a pool cue, and I am putting a Celtic knot in the handle. That is a four-step poring process; on pour for each of four "legs" of the knot. I was told that the slow hardener could take two or three days to harden. The medium would probably take over night, and the maybe a little longer. The fast would probably set in a couple of hours. I mixed the resin/hardener as directed. Two pumps of the resin, two pumps for the hardener. I mixed for about two minutes, then added some mica powder for coloring. Then I started to pour. The mixture was hard in the cup before before I could fill a void that was 1/8" wide, 1 3/4 " deep and 2" long. This is a $70 piece of cocobolo, and of course, a $65 kit of epoxy mixture. And of course, I also ordered a pack of 10 different colors of mica powder, and they substituted Pink for the Red, and the Red was one of two colors I was counting on. Total Boat, I am very disappointed. Additionally, I inserted the pump into the resin before I inserted the other pump into the hardener. The pump extender used for the resin was trimmed by 3 7/8" as instructed. But that is too long, I had to pull the pump mechanism out of the bottle and cut another 1/4" off the extender to be able to screw the pump handle onto the bottle. When I inserted the hardener pup into that bottle, the bottle immediately overflowed. They did not tell you to depress the pump handle first, then let it up after inserting the bottom of the pump into the bottle. What a mess! You have to get some of the hardener into the pump before the mechanism is inserted, or the pump mechanism displaces more hardener than there is room for in the bottle.
