Can you actually play with this toy or does it belong on a shelf? We have not had luck with lego dragon sets.

My response might be too late. I just bought this set few days ago. I honestly think this dragon is more suited to be a show-piece; it belongs on a shelf! There are reasons why I say this. One, the posability is very less compared to other LEGO dragons/mechs. Also, the dragon has lot of sharp edges. Not that they would hurt but they make it difficult to hold the dragon. There's only one place that anyone can hold the dragon and that's the center of it's back.So, if a kid wants to play with this, he/she has to carefully lift it from the middle. I just told my opinion. But I'm an adult. Those adults whose kids are already playing with this toy can offer better opinion!
