Meets expectations
First and foremost, I am not a firefighter. I bought this nozzle for other reasons. It meets my expectations, with a couple cosmetic exceptions. First, the casting seams on the inside of the nozzle were not ground off. In other words, the inside of the nozzle is not machined until the last inch or so. Second, the outside finish was considerably stained by an unknown substance that won't wash off. Will either of these two characteristics make this nozzle ineffective in a firefighting environment? Probably not at all. The nozzle comes with a rubber washer, and mates leak-free with a 1 1/2" PVC threaded male adapter. Would buy again.

Ugly black blemishes on Brass
This item is intended to be showcased in a fire fighting display I am creating. It has black blemishes in the brass. I tried to remove them by hand wiping with various materials to no avail. This seems to be a defect in the manufacturing and/or finishing process. I would try a buffer wheel if I had one. Not going to buy one just to condition this new part I expected to look like new when it arrived.

Who in the world has a hose that fits this
I bought this, thinking it was meant for a regular hose, for a regular guy wanting to water a regular home lawn etc…. And of course not, no one in the world would have a regular hose to cut this … so, after going to Home Dept and getting all of the adapters to get it to fit my regular hose, I was lucky to get a 4 ft stream..lol,,,, NOT FOR HOME USE
