I don't understand your question?. but I do use it to regulate the temperature of the water to my toilet tank. and it does a good job.

Q: Does the check valve require equal pressure from both hot and cold water?

Doesn't seem like it to me. I have a lot more hot pressure than cold due to a big calcite bed. Temp has always been dead on. Hasn't failed me yet and since ours is connected to a bidet sprayer we'd know instantly if there were temp variations.
