An outstanding performance of some very unusual pieces. Performed with lot of intelligence, energy and love for the music. A very enjoyable listen and a good addition to your collection of Baroque instrumental music.

I think this is my favorite of Acronym's recordings so far. I enjoy Valentini's adventurous and quirky writing, and it is played fabulously by the ensemble (as always).

Ok, everything about this recording is spectacular. The recording, the sound quality and engineering, the performance are all superb. Valentini has his own very unique style that is still firmly rooted in the baroque style and is very refreshing. I love it!!!

Fabulous RecordingI had never come across Giovanni Valentini before and was therefore very surprised to hear such outstanding music - wonderful melodies played beautifully by Acronym. Sound is also of audiophile quality. I am not sure whether Valentini's best works have already been presented on this disc or whether this is a composer that one should explore further, but in any case, this disc is a pure joy and a clear 5 star recommendation.

Truly a gorgeous CD. Anyone who wants to hear beautiful music - played magnificently - should own this CD.And Valentini is quite The Discovery - utterly unlike what one would expect from his period.

This disc of delightfully confounding music is lovingly played and beautifully recorded. I had never heard of Valentini, so this entire disc was new to me (as it is to most listeners). Well worth a listen!

I haven't put it away, not much point as it will be for frequent listening, a good discovery.

This CD is a creatve gem in every aspect, from Valentini's amazing compositions to Acronuym's fine performances! Highly recommended.
