Depending on what you need this to do, it can be a great purchase. A cat adopted us about 3 years ago. We already had a dog and I needed to keep the cat separated from the dog until they got used to each other. I gave him my office which is carpeted. We got plastic runners and cut them to cover all the carpeted areas to keep his litter out of the carpet and keep him from using his nails on my carpet. We started out with duct tape to hold the plastic runners together but over time the adhesive on the duct tape starts to slide and get gooey. A few times a year I have to empty the office and take up the plastic runners, get the gooey glue off of them, clean them, put them back down and re-tape. A few months ago, we used this gaffer tape instead. We have not had any issues with sliding or goo. The plastic runners stay in place, even the one we taped to the tile.

More expensive to purchase, but am happy I did. Great product.

This is the best gaffers tape I have tried. Sticks very well, easy to handle, and leaves no residue when removed (aside from some tape I had in a high traffic area for over 2 years (yes, it's that reliable). I was very disappointed when the white one in particular went out of stock. I tried others and all of the ones that claimed to be white were more of a cream color (an issue when you're trying to mask things in a white environment). I also use the black variety of this tape, and it is just as reliable as this one. I will keep an extra white on hand going forward in case they run out of stock again.

Gaffer Power is beyond a doubt the best Gaffers tape I have found. I have ordered and used two other brands in the last month which I would only rate as a 2. The adhesion in this tape really is superior. I am willing to spend a little more to get the job done. I like that it is made in the USA. I used it to adhere LED lights to a sign. it works well on plastic board as well as foam core.
