Arrived in Good Shape!
'Received the two little trees 3 1/2 days after I placed the order. The arrived in great shape, with lots of roots and leaves. One is 10" and the other one is 8 1/2" tall. I planted them right away. If they do not survive, I guess it is on me. Anyway, I am looking forward to the coming months to see how they do. So far, I am happy with the purchase...Update: May 3, 2017. The little trees are still doing very well! They have not lost their leaves and now have new growth! I know this will be a slow process, but I am really looking forward the seeing them grow. Still a five-star review...Update: June 6, 2017. The trees have new growth and are getting taller. The one thing that I was not expecting is that now the leaves are turning green, but that could be a result of the weather, as it is getting really hot in my area. I expect them to turn back to the beautiful original color as soon as it gets cooler in the Fall.

Not as pictured
The color is not like the photo. It’s a dull red - I've had this for about a year.

Dead after a few months but I can't really say it is not our fault.
I tried to convince my wife not to try it since most plants die under our care. Unfortunately, this one is no exception. But I could tell this one should have a chance if you have green thumb.

Very pleased!
I took a long time deciding to buy this or not. Based on the reviews I was concerned but at the same time realized the Princess is a rare offering, at the low Amazon price. Have to tell you, I am delighted with the plant. It arrived in good condition. I planted it in a container and will probably keep it in a container. Think to take the tree and immediately put it into the ground is a big mistake, and probably contributes to some of the failures and poor reviews. Too delicate for immediately planting in ground. In the container new growth has begun and it seems very content and happy. It needs sheltering and protection from wind and too much sun. Happy to oblige the plant because I believe she will be a beautiful specimen.

Bought 3 different kinds of Japanese Maples. Got only 3 bare twigs! No leaves! Terrible grafts!
I purchased 3 different kinds of Japanese Maples. They are supposed to be 2 year old trees, but as you can see they are mere twigs with no leaves that might give me a guess at which plant is which tree. They are all completely different with different requirements, etc., but given what I was sent, I have no idea what I have. These twigs have been grafted and the grafts are not done well and are not complete, so who knows if they will actually work. Additionally, since the twigs are grafted onto something else, who knows what the roots actually are? It will be years before these twigs could be considered trees and no telling how many years before one will sprout a leaf. There are certainly no buds at all. These twigs are very expensive and definitely not what I thought I was purchasing. I was so exciting thinking I was going to receive trees that I could at least identify as one of the beautiful photos shown on the Amazon website.

Arrived in good condition
This looks to be a tiny frail little thing. I planted it right away in the ground I hope I didn’t mess up. It has green and red on the very few leaves but it arrived in good condition. It is a tiny little stick grafted plant . Mine only had a couple of leaves. I can only pray it survives. I’ll have to baby it for awhile as I planted in May 2023 and there is a dought and extreme heat so daily watering for now.

Exactly what I ordered
Product arrived in good condition. Plant appears healthy. Yes, it is grafted. I am happy that it is as expected. I read descriptions, comments and reviews prior to ordering. Can’t wait to see it next year
