I'm really pleased with this purchase. I followed the manufacturers instructions prior to use and there is absolutely no hint of the "newness" smell some reviews have mentioned. The kettle heats up really quick and is perfectly designed for a slow even pour. I have no hesitation in recommending.

I ordered this item because it was the kettle I was looking for to make coffee (pour overs, French press) and it was at a good price. The copper one looked cool in the picture, so that's the version I chose. When it arrived, I was impressed with the kettle as well as the packaging. It looks so great! Certainly it appears like I spent much more money on it. And it works really well. It warms water quickly and the thermometer is built-in, easy to read, and accurate. Great item. The company reached out to me and asked me if I was pleased, and I responded with a yes - except - the face of the thermometer was a bit scuffed up from shipping (it wasn't protected with a plastic film). I could still read the temperature, but it's the only constructive criticism I had for them. They apologized and immediately sent a replacement, even though I didn't ask for one. So, this company not only produces an excellent product for coffee lovers, but they are driven to serve customers with excellence. I'm very happy I made this purchase and expect to use my kettle(s) for a long time. :)

I had wanted to try my hand at pour over coffee for awhile. After getting a pour over dripper; I needed a kettle to do this right. Using the microwave just didn’t look right. The kettle is a nice little goose neck design. The handle is good as you don’t have to worry about grabbing a hot spot. There is a thermometer on top to aid in the consistency. My drippers instruction said 203. It doesn’t break down by numbers so the 200 mark is fine. There is plastic on it. You will see the cover for the neck. There is one on the bottom of the thermometer and there is one on the temperature gage. I missed that one and it wrinkled a little and I was “How did water get there?” It came off without issue. Do give it a wash as I noticed black bits come out. The other thing to keep in mind; this is not a load with water and walk away and wait for noise like with tradition kettles. The water will shoot out if it gets too hot. So far it’s been a good kettle. I do have concern over the thermometer breaking due to use. However, others have commented it does not. Oh I forgot to mention I did get tips from the vendor. Simple things like that make it better. I am happy with this purchase.

I've been using this kettle for a month or two right now and have been very pleased. Temperature gauge matches home thermostat, holds enough water for my 32 oz French press, handle gets warm but not too hot to manage. No rusting, handle remains firmly attached. No issues losing water out of the spout at 205F, boiling is required for water to overflow. Kettle gets the job done. Only downside is with draining, it is difficult to get all the water out when cleaning because there is a lip where the top presses in and the water sits there even when the kettles is upside down. I always have a few milliliters of water left in the bottom that evaporate during the day. Kettle also loses a few drips when pouring from full, but that's negligible. I would recommend.
