Tramontina Professional Fry Pans (12-inch)

In the past year I bought 3 pans. The first two sucked. The whole idea of a non-stick pan without bad chemicals just didn't seem to work. After sticking my last non-stick pan in the trash can still full of food stuck to it I decided to do some research. The reviews were right. This one is excellent. You don't need oil, it cooks evenly, it's big, and super easy to clean.

This Tramontina model is consistently highly-rated by respected reviewers for its quality at an affordable price. It is lightweight, easy to handle and well constructed. Also claimed to be ovenproof up to a certain temperature, but haven’t tested that. Comes well packaged with clear instructions, which speaks to the manufacturer caring. This has become my go-to pan, except when working at high temperatures, which non-stick pans are not designed for (clearly stated in the instructions). Having destroyed a few non-stick pans due to my lack of care and buying cheap, I reckon the Tramontina will last as long as this ‘chef’ behaves himself. It is a real pleasure to cook with.

Pan heats up quickly and balance of weight on the hob is good

Really like this. It is truly non stick, so easy to keep clean. So far zero scratches or wear. Every time I make an omelette or folded eggs I just feel thankful I bought this. I have a smaller one for one person and larger one for family size. Glad I did that too. To top it off it’s great value. I was tipped off by NYT wire cutter. They were 100% correct.
